Quiet , relaxing 2 1/2 acre Hilltop home bordering Nature Preserve

This Western Desert Retreat sits on top of the hill with 360 views! It is on 2 1/2 acres of peaceful quiet desert. Decorated with western touches. Each bedroom has a queen bed and is at separate ends of the home making it comfortable for two couples or a family of 4. The kitchen is fully stocked with all full size appliances, cookware, utensils and every thing you need to cook a Holiday dinner. You just supply the ingredients.
The home has forced heat and air to make you comfortable anytime of the year. There is even a wood stove for the cozy winter nights.
The large front porch is wonderful to sit or swing while you watch the wildlife come for a drink. Feed the quail, scrub jay or orioles. Watch for the Bobcats and Coyote at night. Listen to the coyotes sing while you watch the star filled night sky.

Walk out your back door and enjoy a hike, rock climb or just play a game of horseshoes, while you enjoy the sunshine.
Experience the desert heat in summer( 15 to 20 degrees cooler than Palm Springs) or the snow topped Joshua Trees in winter.

This home is just 15 minutes from the entrance to Joshua Tree National Monument .
Palm Springs Tram is only 30 miles away.
Cabazon Outlet Stores and Casino 45 minutes.
Windmill tours 20 miles away.
Several OHV areas, nearest is Johnson Valley 20 miles.
Covington park in Morongo for bird watchers 8 miles away.

Yucca Valley House
Great location. Joshua Tree National Park is very close with lots to see with wonderful hikes. Also spent some time watching tennis at Indian Wells. Spent a great day at Palm Springs Air Museum.

Awesome desert get away
We LOVED staying here. It feels like walking into the house of your favorite aunt, that also happens to be adjacent to some of the most beautiful scenery that the high desert has to offer. While we didn't see a bobcat or tortoise this trip, there was all kinds of wildlife right outside the front door. We can't wait to come back. Thanks for a great trip, Cheryl!!

Many return stays here over the years - quiet, peaceful, scenic location at end of a one-mile dirt road; walk out back door into miles of Joshua Tree terrain/nature; only 10 minutes to town; 20 minutes to Joshua Tree; comfortably furnished; well-equipped kitchen; large TV screen Roku-equipped; owner responsive.

Staying here is like having your own National Park out the back door. After hiking Joshua Tree we really enjoyed hiking these trails all by ourselves. So peaceful and beautiful! The house had everything we needed and then some. It was so comfortable and we enjoyed the wildlife. Perfect relaxing end to our trip to Palm Springs and Yucca Valley. One of our top VRBO experiences!
