Set on a cliff overlooking the lake, this charming A-frame is the perfect vacation property offering lots of amenities and incredible views of Lake Barkley. Decks wrap around three sides of the house to provide you with lots of space for enjoying the view. The property has amble parking for boat trailers too.

Recently remodeled in 2006, the inside of the cabin features 2 bedrooms (queen and a twin bed) and a full bath with tub and shower. There is also a new queen sleeper sofa in the living area. There is a fully equipped kitchen and a washer and dryer. The cabin is furnished with three TV (25” in the living area and a new 36”flat screen in the upstairs bedroom, 13' with VCR Combo in downstairs bedroom).Cabin also has free wifi high speed internet.

One of the features that make this property so unique is the large lower deck overlooking the lake and the access to the boat dock below. Furnished with chairs and tables, the deck is a favorite place for morning coffee or for relaxation after a day on the water. The dock has two bays for your convenience.

Only minutes by water from Lake Barkley Lodge, this A-frame has lots to offer for persons wanting to kick back and enjoy the beauty of Lake Barkley and the Land Between the Lakes.

About The Owner

A strong believer in the free enterprise system, K. Wayne Foster currently owns or is a partner in seven companies. Specifically, he has been involved in the information processing industry for nearly 35 years. Wayne's record is one of excellence and dedication to customer satisfaction - elements he believes are the foundation of any successful business. Wayne began his career in the computer industry while serving in the United States Air Force in 1966. Upon his discharge he worked in the data processing department of Western Kentucky Gas Co. in Owensboro, KY. He also taught computer processing at the Owensboro College of Business. Wayne later worked for Data Services, Inc. and Systems Resources, also located in Owensboro. A management position with Amca Resources, Inc. moved Wayne and his family to Madisonville, KY, where they lived for six years. When Amca relocated to Louisville, KY, Wayne felt the time was right to strike out on his own. With the idea of writing some canned programs for the mining companies, Wayne began The Systems Specialist (TSS). What started as a dream in 1977 has become a multi-million dollar company. The Systems Specialist was named IBM Business Partner of the Year in 1994. TSS has also achieved the status of an 'IBM Premier Business Partner' and is consistently ranked among the top firms in the country in customer satisfaction. Wayne is 56 years old and he and his wife, Cathy, have six children and 9 grandchildren. They enjoy traveling, hiking, water skiing and spending time with their family. Wayne and Cathy are active in their church as well as various civic organizations. Wayne attributes his achievements to his strong Christian values and his belief that doing what's right for the customer will ultimately make you successful. He embraces change as an opportunity to excel and believes the information processing industry will play an ever-increasing role in our everyday lives, as well as the business world.

Quaint little A-Frame

We stayed for two days and were very pleased with the house. I did leave some shampoo and conditioner since we noticed that there was no soap until after we went to shower. I do realize it is normally the responsibility of tenants to bring their own things I guess I was thinking that did not include soap. Sorry I did not have soap to leave. Our bed was so soft and comfortable therefore, sleeping was no issue other than when we turned up the heat a bit too high! The back area of this home is wonderful! It is so nice to take the walk down the stairs to the floating dock. Such serenity! Also nice to be greeted by the neighbors dog as we departed- not sure what kind of dog but beautiful and so friendly!

One thing i was not too fond of was the inability to speak directly with the property owner. We called for our house code and had to talk to a service which did not have our information as staying at the house until 2 other transfers. We did get things worked out after a few minor issues. However, I had to call back a second time and still was told they did not have our information thus why our preference would be to speak with the owner or just text.

Other than that main issue, a nice time in a simple little home with beautiful views.

Great place to stay!

Nice place to stay. Very comfortable and beautiful view. I like the fact that there is a boat dock there. May bring the family back with the ski boat during the summer.

Peaceful, charming. Loved the location

Was a great getaway. Great time of year for this rental although summer would be ideal. The reviews I read didn't tell the true beauty and comfort you get while staying at the charming a frame on the lake. Thanks and i love the house. To add the pics just don't show what your really getting with this rental.
