Holiday in the monument combines historic preservation and tourism. Historically valuable Bauzeugen be taken, gently renovated and rented as apartments. The model allows a double win: The monuments received a new future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building. The idea is realized by the foundation Ferien im Baudenkmal (FiB), which was founded in 2005 by the Swiss Homeland Security.


Parking: There is no parking directly at the house. One minute away from the house is the chargeable SBB car park. The access to the house is guaranteed. You can unload your luggage or purchases in front of the house.

Public transport: The fisherman's houses are located directly next to Romanshorn station (1 minute walk).

Number of persons 6: There is a cot (up to 2 years) available. The house sleeps six guests (plus baby). The apartment 2 is located in 1. Floor and is accessed from the courtyard (gravel) on an outdoor staircase / arbor. From the hallway, turn right into the kitchen and go straight from the kitchen into the living room. Also from the kitchen a door leads into a room with two single beds. Next to the kitchen is a small bathroom with shower / WC. From the corridor opened up again two double rooms. The floors are made of stone and wood which is why we recommend good slippers.

Garden: The gravel place is available for the holiday guests to use and is shared with the guests of the apartment 1 and from the B & B.

WLAN: Is available. 

Open: The house can be rented from April to October.

Pets: Pets are not allowed.

Altitude: 400 meters above sea level.

Extras: The Lake Constance region is ideal for bicycle tours. Right next to the Romanshorn train station you can rent bicycles and / or e-bikes from SBB. The Fischerhaus 3 is managed as a B & B and can accommodate up to 10 people. There can also be rented only one night. The B & B runs a small cafe / restaurant. This is open on Friday evenings, Saturday evenings plus Sunday afternoons.

History & Information
The in 17th . Built century fishermen's houses were simple fishermen and craftsmen accommodation. Various wallcoverings, winding room entrances and different floor levels reveal the long history of the houses that have been for centuries repeatedly renovated or expanded. In the three dwellings new bathrooms and kitchens have been set up. The color scheme of interior design is based on the construction history. Das schiffhüsli ist perfekt gelegen. Ganz nahe beim Bahnhof und der Seepromenade. Eine Bäckerei ist um die Ecke, sowie auch mehrere Restaurants und ein Coop.
