About the property

House, 5 Bedrooms, 4.5 Baths, (Sleeps 12)

From Casa Allen located in the founder's neighborhood of Loreto Bay you have views of the Sierra de Gigante Mountains, the golf course or the tranquil Sea of Cortez. This custom home sits on the 9th hole of Loreto Bay’s newly renovated golf course. The house is a short walk to the beach, about 25 yards.

This is a perfect house for 2 families, sleeping up to 12. The great room accommodates 12 seats at the dining table. Casa Allen has 4 ½ bedrooms and 4 ½ bathrooms. Two master bedrooms with king size beds and 2 large bedrooms each with 2 double beds. There is also an additional small bedroom with a single bed.

Casa Allen is unique in Loreto Bay because it is the only house with the living space on the second floor. We wanted to take advantage of the views and this house has mountains, golf greens, and sunshine views from the kitchen, dining and living room. The casa is designed with traditional Mexican charm from the colonial era-adobe walls, Saltillo floors, Talavera tiles, copper lights, and wood windows framed with Cantera stone.

The entire house is surrounded by a tall wall and when entering this private space you have beautiful landscaping. The first courtyard has a Talavera fountain, the next has the swimming pool area with a terrace and outdoor kitchen. The back garden has an outdoor shower. This home has the largest amount of green space in this development.

All bedrooms are on the first floor and are entered through French doors off of the gardens.

The second floor has 2000 square feet of outdoor patios, perfect for entertaining or just lounging and enjoying the views.

This house is one of the first 5 completed custom homes in the renowned LB development. The development is known for its environmentally friendly construction. The ocean here is a protected marine preserve and the sea life thrives. Fishing is outstanding for you and off limits to commercial companies.

About The Owner

We live in Portland Oregon.

However when the kids were in elementary school, 8 years ago we lived in Loreto for a year. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to be. The Mexicans took us in and we had a year of fun in the sun. In a small town friends are made quickly and kids of all ages play together. We were with the other Mexican families everyday playing in the ocean, hiking, BBQ on the beach, or just hanging out in the plaza. Loreto is so safe I never worried about my small kids walking around town, they had more independence there than they did in the states. Loreto is non-touristy with a very casual atmosphere. Loreto Bay homes have beautiful architecture but if you are looking for fancy restaurants, pools, hotels and shopping you won’t find that in Loreto.

The Owner purchased this house in 2009

Why The Owner chose Loreto Municipality

Our house has more open space around it. Other homes feel like they are on top of each other with their neighbors looking in their windows. We also designed this house to accommodate 2 families. There are 2 master bdrms with King beds, two oversized bdrms with 2 double beds in each room. 4 bdrms with 4 private bathrooms. One small bedroom with a single bed.

What makes this house unique

Our house is the only LB house with the living space upstairs. We are from the NW and light/views are paramount to me. I designed the house to have our dark spaces where we sleep and the social spaces with views.

Beautiful Villa

  • 5 of 5

The villa was perfect for our family vacation. It was very clean and had plenty of space for everyone ( there was 7 of us) I’d highly recommend ordering the tomale dinner as it was fantastic. We really liked the villas location near the beach. My daughter enjoyed using the paddle board!

Perfect location for a perfect vacation!

  • 5 of 5

Well-appointed and well-maintained villa just steps from the beach. Beautiful sunset views over the mountains. The villa was private, spacious, offering lots of corners for private relaxation as well as family gatherings. Great private pool for cooling off in the afternoon with a tropical drink. The Inn, a short stroll away, had a great menu and swim-up bar. The golf community had several great restaurants. The ocean was calm and perfect for paddle-boarding and kayaking. Loreto was a charming town with outfitters for deep-sea fishing, snorkeling trips to deserted islands, and hiking - whatever outdoor activities you might want. Great restaurants, good grocery stores, wonderful people. The owner of the property and the manager could not have been nicer or more responsive.

We will be back!!

  • 5 of 5

Thank you for sharing your lovely home in Loreto, Mexico.

We loved how it was decorated and all of the amenities you had for enjoying the beach and ocean.

We especially enjoyed looking at the ocean from the roof-top terrace and watching the sun set behind the Sierra De La Giganta mountains from the main floor terrace.

The house has a unique floor plan which takes advantage of all of the views.

We also loved swimming in the pool that had the perfect water temperature and the quick and easy path to the beach.

You can bet we will be back.

Thank you!! Kathleen, Gary, Carol and Warren

Beautifully decorated house with great views

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this house in Loreto Bay! Everything about it was great...the layout, decor and location. It has a wonderful terrace where you can dine outside, take in the view or relax with a book. It is conveniently located near the beach, golf course, and the little shops, cafes and restaurants in the area. We will definitely go back!

Wow! Amazing house, a perfect getaway!

  • 5 of 5

A truly stunning house in the beautiful Nopolo community (think Andalusia meets luxurious Mexico). Surprisingly appointed, spacious, lovely patios and fountain, when you get there you feel like it's your own. Just a 30 second walk to the beach. Loreto Bay is stunning, calm warm waters safe for kids. You can snorkel, paddle board, kayak to your heart's content. We simply had a wonderful time and the house exceeded all of our expectations.

Nopolo is resort town with both ex-pats and holiday visitors. Most certainly has an upscale feel. Beautifully landscaped, very clean, comfortable, friendly, with enough restaurants and shops to make it easy to stay close to home. About 15 minute drive is the quaint town of Loreto, where you'll get a better feel for the broader community and culture. Tons of restaurants, shops, grocery stores, ice cream (don't miss Michoacana Ice Cream Shop! We went several times), promenades, big enough to explore multiple days, but small enough to retain some authenticity and charm.

The property managers were great and made sure we had things sorted out soon after we arrived and set us up with a boat to take us for a day to shore islands. You don't want to miss the jumping manta rays, intimate sandy coves, and the snorkeling!

Bottom line, this is a wonderful house to enjoy an amazing slice of the planet. The house has so many of the things that makes a stay easy (snorkeling gear, paddle board, bikes, beach towels, pantry items, bug spray, TVs, AC, outdoor living areas, etc.). Perfect for two families and extended stays. Definitely will be going back!
