Our two house rules are no smoking indoors, and quiet after dark. Prosper Village has a Noise Ordinance, so please talk quietly and no music. Absolutely no parties!
This cozy, classic Irish decorated house has three bedroom and two bathrooms to fit your whole family! A king bed, queen bed, queen sofa bed and two twin beds are ready for you to enjoy. We love pets of all sizes and breeds so please bring your furry family member!
Please note: Although the pictures show a full and queen bed, the full bed has been replaced by the queen and a king bed now resides in the queen's place.
In addition to beds for big people, the Cottage has a portable playpen, and a highchair. All big beds are made with down feather comforters, so you can snuggle in and let the frogs and surf sounds sing you to sleep.
The kitchen has a dishwasher, full size refrigerator, oven, stove, microwave, and pots and pans. We supply the dishes for you (service for eight) and include a Keurig coffee maker with K-Cups for your caffeine requirements.
The yard is well fenced with gates to keep in your little ones, children and pets alike. Parking is a breeze with ample space for all your vehicles.
Inside, there are movies, games, books, and activities to keep everyone busy and happy after a fun day exploring at the beach.
Once you make the Irish Cottage your personal vacation home, you'll never want to stay anywhere else!

Permit me to plan a perfect Bandon tourist day for you! After you awake to sunlight streaming through the alder trees, get dressed (don't forget your windbreaker and hat) and make the 5 minute drive into Old Town. You may pass fishermen on the river in their little boats, pulling shiny salmon out of the water. You will also pass cranberry bogs, and may see farmers with odd machines harvesting the fat little red fruits.
Go to the Bandon Coffee Cafe for a perfect cup of coffee or tea, perhaps get a homemade cinnamon roll or egg muffin. Grab a tide table and say hello to Margaret for me! Leave your car where it is and stroll through Old Town, go into the toy store for gifts to take home, and don't miss the Second Street Gallery for amazing, beautiful art pieces and quite affordable handmade jewelry. Get some candy at the old fashioned candy store, and back in the car!
Drive South on 101, make a right on 11th street, and head west until you reach the Pacific Ocean. Fortified with your coffee and cinnamon roll, and zipped up in your windbreaker, head down the stairs and out onto the beach for some exploring. Keep an eye out for tsunami debris in the form of pop bottles with Japanese writing. You may well be the only people on the beach, but you won't be alone! Harbor seals, puffins, red fox, and sea lions are commonly sighted. Mornings are best for the beach because the wind hasn't picked up yet.
Back up those stairs (yes, you have burned off the cinnamon roll by now), into the car, and continue south on 101 about 10 minutes to the West Coast Game Park Safari. Prepare to be mobbed by the friendly goats and hungry chickens, and listen for the announcements for baby leopard and bobcat holding time, when you can hold and take pictures with the most adorable baby animals.
Now it's time for lunch! Wash your hands and go get in line at Bandon Fish Market by the boat harbor, for fresh fish and chips. If it's close to low tide, send someone in your party over to Tony's Crab Shack to rent some crab rings. Maybe you'll catch your own dinner off the dock!
Stop by the fudge shop across from Tony's for a wee bit of fudge to keep up your strength for crabbing.
If you have time, go book tomorrow's charter fishing adventure. You are guaranteed to catch loads of fish, not far off the coast (I personally guarantee it).
Keep crabbing until high tide. There's a large pot in the house to cook your crabs. If not, go next door and ask to borrow theirs.
Alright, the sun is going down. Jump back in the car and drive west through Old Town to the beach. If you look at the ocean where the setting sun is making it all shiny, you may see whales spouting. January is the best month for whale watching. If you see one pod, look for other groups as well... one day I saw three separate pods at once!
It's finally evening... take all your postcards, candy, earrings, toys, leftovers, and all the sand in your shoes back to the Norwegian House, dump them all off, and head to Bandon Dunes Golf Course, just 5 minutes North on Highway 101. McKees' Pub has delicious Irish pub fare, a full bar, lots of sports on the big screens, loads of very loud golfers, and a big roaring fireplace outside (bring your cigars, I guess). You don't have to dress up... in Bandon, if your clothes are clean, that's fancy enough.
There! You have had a wonderful day in Bandon. Now go look at the vrbo listing for the Swedish House... I'll plan a different but equally wonderful day for you there!
