Renovated, air conditioned, clean comfortable well equipped two level, 3 bedroom ( plus downstairs 'futon bunk room') lakefront house, with two decks, a great dock, a large level yard and a lake-facing propane fire-pit . Perfect for a relaxing summer vacation for one large or two small families.

Clean clear weed-free water with good depth off of the dock!

PROPERTY DETAILS:

Renovated and bright, air conditioned, two level Lakefront House with great level yard and a large dock.

Relax on one of the two front decks overlooking the lake or dive off the dock for a swim. Enjoy the breathtaking view and soak up the Okanagan SUN ! Modern clean décor and furnishing with comfortable beds will make your stay enjoyable.

It's a 30 foot stroll to the lake from the front door to dive in and cool off or to climb onto your favorite floating mattress or chair. It is a five to seven minute drive to Vernon Golf Course, 15-20 minutes to the award winning Predator Ridge golf course. For the kids, it is a five minute drive to the sandy beach at Okanagan Landing or Kalamalka Lake. Go Karts, executive golf, mini golf, horse-back riding, tennis, beach volleyball courts are all a short drive and very close by.

The house has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, with two separate living areas including kitchens - 2000 square feet. There are 3 bedrooms with Queen beds (one bedroom is pretty tight with the queen).

Lake and yard access from the house from the main level is via a short flight of stairs from the elevated front deck or from the basement level walkout which opens onto the yard and lake.

This two level vacation home can sleep eight people maximum. We allow a maximum of four adults ( 18) and up to four children (below 18) or 6 adults and up to 2 kids. Most rates quoted are for up to 6 people with additional charge for up to two more guests. It is great spot for two-three couples or two small families.

PLEASE NOTE: if I make exceptions for more than 8 people or more than 6 adults there is a $50 per person per night charge - VRBO rate calculations do not capture this correctly so I will have modify the quote manually.

Upper deck is Covered, Lower Level Deck is not covered, Large Dock, Mooring Buoy for Your Boat with boat lift.

The perfect vacation!

We have stayed here as a family and as part of a couples' getaway and would highly recommend it for both! The fabulous decks off the house and the dock are great for visiting and gathering a small or large crowd. The house is beautifully maintained as is the lawn. Great to have air conditioning to cool off after a hot day in the sun! The layout of the home is perfect to give everyone lots of space. Especially liked the extra kitchen in the basement for extra beverages, food etc. The location on the lake is ideal with lots of warm water and places to water ski, wakeboard, paddleboard etc. Also an excellent location to get to other activities. Great memories!

Perfect location for lake fun and relaxation, with cycling and golf nearby.

We've now stayed here 5 different summers. Usually we've had kids along, but were adults only on our last stay.

The "hook" for this place is the long dock, which catches the morning sun for coffee, and the afternoon breeze for Happy Hour.

The dock and electric boat lift make lake access easy, if you have your own boat or rent one. If you haven't stayed on this part of north Okanagan Lake, you'll find it surprisingly quiet boat-wise. For water-sports, it is more conducive for wake-boarding, water-skiing, and paddle-boarding than it is more kite-boarding!

The house set-up has worked well for us for 2 families with kids, or 3 couples when all adults. We tend to spend most of our time outside, and appreciated the outdoor deck space and patio where we ate most of our dinners. The second kitchen downstairs (at dock-level) proved to be convenient, especially for refrigerated beverages!

There was a good music system which we used lots with it's outside speakers.

If you enjoy cycling, there are a good selection of road-rides from here where traffic is fairly light. And there are some mountain bike trails a few kilometres south towards the provincial park.

It is hard to think of any negatives, as we always come home totally relaxed. We'll be back!

About Ernie

We are avid lake users. We rented a house on the lake in the Vernon for over 10 years before buying this one. We were tired of lousy beds, ugly shag carpet and sub optimal dock arrangements. This house has everything you need for a great lake holiday.

Why Ernie chose Vernon

Awesome location for summer boating and vacation - quiet water on a fairly large lake - we rented for 10 years in the area before buying. Watersking and wakeboarding is our main activity. The waters of Okanagan lake are well suited for that as well as sailing, windsurfing and kayaking.

Two of North America's premier golf courses within 15-20 minutes drive from the home. There are many other quality courses easily within an hours drive.

Wineries also abound throughout the Okanagan, with companies offering different wine tours to suite your taste.

We love the Vernon area as it is much less busy than Kelowna. Golf and wineries are still close enough to enjoy. Vernon has all the shopping one needs as well as many great restaurants.

What makes this house unique

The unique benefits of the house include an awesome dock, clean weed-free water, level yard suitable for Bocci-Ball, lakefront concrete-block patio with propane fire-pit, two decks to enjoy the lake view and north-west facing to see the sunset from the front deck or dock. The house is close enough to amenities to be easy to pick things up but feels like it is out of the city and is in a quiet location. A boat lift is available to make your stay with your boat worry-free.
