About this property

The house is of traditional Canarian architecture, built on top of a rock of volcanic lava at the end of the 19th Century and restored in 2006, maintaining most of the original structure. You are able to leisurely walk through the estate and view the different fruit trees, such as avocado, lemon, orange and mango (although at present, fruit is not available to eat). The house stands alone and can only be reached by a 200 metres dirt track which crosses the Valley of Tasarte. You can count on an excellent climate, as this area is all about sunshine and is not very high above sea level. In Tasarte you can enjoy the countryside, the sun of the south of the Island, hiking or cycling and also fishing or enjoy the crystal clear waters of the beach.

Charming small house inmidst of fantastic landscape
This small house, renovated with much taste, is probably the most charming finca we had rented within 30 years. You definitly need a care, butthe location is absolutly calm, and you have the feeling to be alone inmidst of the fantastic nature. There are some small drawbacks, like the low water pressure of the shower, and the omnipresent ants, but the charm of the house is overwellming.

The property was rural and pretty basic. We were not impressed with the location of the toilet.
It also needs a better heating system as the nights were quite cold in the evening. Whilst passing those comments about the house, the views were stunning, but just a bit too remote for us. A good place for avid walkers, cyclists and people looking for piece and total tranquillity. A car is a must.

Why they chose this property

The house "Lengua de lava" ( the Lava Tongue) is located on a property of over 10.000 m2. In the field there are mainly autochthonous flora. Ten percent of its surface is planted with avocado trees and also other fruit trees are found. The house is located in the Rural Park "El Nublo" which also forms part of the area of the Island which has been declared "The Biosphere Reserve". The distance to Tasarte Beach is 6km, 2km, to the town of Tasarte and 22 km to the town of Mogán.

What makes this property unique

Tasarte is a place for people who want a true taste of the island of Gran Canaria and its people. It is not a tourist place, you will not find hotels, shops or fancy restaurants. You will be far from cars, pollution, noise and tourists, but close to nature, to the sea and to yourself.
