Just outside Heilbrunn (about 1 km), on the edge of meadow and forest, stands this vacation home. Heilbrunn is located about 20 km south of Cham. In Cham, the Marseillaise sounds daily at shortly after twelve; the French national anthem commemorates a Cham citizen's son from the 18th century. Besides this special feature, you can visit beautiful buildings and changing art exhibitions. Wiesenfelden offers many varied and well-signposted hiking trails, such as the nature adventure trail Kobelberg, which is especially recommended for families with children: A relatively flat, four-kilometer long, romantic forest trail, also suitable for strollers. In the third week of August, Straubing hosts the Gäubodenvolksfest. This spectacle is reminiscent of the Oktoberfest and, in addition to the usual funfair, offers guided tours of the town, various games and performances. Hikers and lovers of convivial villages like to travel to the Bavarian Forest. And after an eventful day of vacation, you can still get rich meals served in the often inexpensive restaurants.
