The municipality of Bünsdorf lies in the district of Rendsburg-Eckernförde. It is located directly on the Wittensee, embedded in a beautiful, slightly hilly landscape. The municipality of Bünsdorf, a quiet farming village, is idyllically situated on the southwestern shore of Lake Wittensee.

The bathing place on Wittensee, with its bathing island, lawn, barbecue area and children's playground, is particularly popular. At the end of July there is an annual sea festival in Bünsdorf.

In the village you will find the restaurant "König Ludwig", where Bavarian hospitality is cultivated but also many local specialties are served and the listed Feldstein hall church from the 13th Century.
