About the host

Host profile image
This is a property that has been in the family for almost 150 years. The original building was replaced in 1947 with 5 large cross-ventilated bedrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen and two baths. We have TV, VCR, DVD and internet services. The house has a thoroughbred horse farm on one side and 160 acres of woodland on the other. It is quiet and well off the highway.

Why they chose this property

Our house is located on the top of a hill overlooking the thoroughbred horses and the mountains in the distance. We have sports facilities for volleyball, badmington, basketball, horseshoes, bocce, ping pong and croquet. The swimming area is a 5-10 minute drive away and has tall trees, a picnic area, a playground, a life guard and free parking.

What makes this property unique

This is a wonderful place for a family because it is completely private, has lots of things to do right here. However, there are dozens of historical, cultural and entertaining venues within a 30-minute drive. Most of our guests return year after year.
