Illeris Strand, just north of Hvalpsund is a beautiful recreational area with easy access to swimming spots, jogging trails, footpaths, golf courses, fishing spots ? practically a tremendous variety of things to do. At the same time you can also relax here, enjoy the fjord, take the ferry to Salling and visit the birthplace of Jeppe Aakjærs. Or perhaps you would like to learn about Stone Age compost, in Ertebølle you have the opportunity to do so. Also visit the world-class golf course, Himmerland Golf & Spa Resort.
