The K Street Studio is a newly renovated Garden level apartment offering about 500 square feet of modern, efficient living space. The apartment includes a Galley style kitchen, living area with full-sized sleeper sofa, queen sized bed, and new bath with step-in tiled shower.

The Galley style kitchenette is all new, with large counter, full sized refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster-oven, hot plate and all cooking and dining utensils. Simple breakfasts or dinner for 4 are easy to prepare. The dining table expands in seconds to comfortably accommodate up to 4 guests.

The apartment has been designed for the best use of space. The sofa is tucked into a cozy alcove with end tables, built in shelves and plenty of overhead lighting. Opposite the sofa, a large entertainment center includes a 32' LCD television with HD Cable. The new bath includes a step-in tiled shower, new vanity and linen storage.

A queen-sized bed is tucked into a sleeping alcove as well. Simple curtains offer a measure of privacy or the ability to close off the sleeping area from the main living area. The sofa opens to a full-sized bed, allowing for up to 4 guests in the apartment.

In addition to HD Cable and LCD television, the apartment offers complimentary wireless Internet access. An apartment sized stacking washer and dryer are available making longer stays simple. A writing/computer desk is also provided for guests who who might need a more formal working arrangement. If you are traveling to Washington by car, a permit allowing parking on street can be provided from the owner. A compact stereo with CD player is also included.

Great news! The DC Streetcar, which runs along H Street and Benning Road, is up and running. Standard hours of operation will be:

Monday - Thursday: 6:00 a.m. - 12:00 a.m.

Friday: 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 a.m.

Saturday: 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 a.m.

Holidays: 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.

**No Sunday service

Well located studio apt. in interesting neighborhood

The apartment was perfect for two of us; we parked our car, used the free parking permit and took public transportation everywhere. The free DC streetcar was 2 blocks away and ran frequently. There were lots of good local places to eat within walking distance. Our host was very helpful, left a metro card to start our travels into the city with and recommended his local favorites. We would happily stay there again and recommend the apt. to our friends.

This was my second time at the apartment and it didn't disappoint. Same clean space, same caring owners. It's nice to have a place to stay within walking distance of the DC branch of my company. No question--I'll be back.

Great location with multiple modes of transportation nearby

We drove to DC, got a parking permit from the owner, parked the car the next block over, and left it there for the rest of our visit.

It was an easy 2 block walk to H Street to hop on the (currently free) DC Streetcar to get to Union Station (from there, walk through the Union Station parking garage to either the Metro stop or the DC Circulator to get to the Mall attractions). Plenty of restaurants along H St, too -- We enjoyed Po Boy Jim's Cajun/Creole.

Or, you can catch the 90 or 92 bus at the closest corner (8th & K NE) and take it south to Eastern Market (more restaurants there and a Metro stop). Coming back at the end of the day, we'd take the D4, which dropped us off literally at our front door (my wife loved that).

We also used Capital Bikeshare to get around, too. We used the docks at 6th & H St. NE. This is now our favorite way to get around the Mall. Bring your own helmets. Use the Spotcycle app on your smartphone to find available bikes and docks.

The owner was very friendly and provided the most extensive trip-planning documents we've ever received via email. You can tell he takes pride in his property and his city. We really appreciated his attention to detail and ensuring that we had a great time! Thank you, Scott!

Lovely basement apartment near Gallaudet

The apartment was very comfortable and reasonably priced. I used to live in the area and I was amazed to see how much it has improved in the last ten years. The owners were very responsive and provided all of the information needed for me to access the apartment easily. I would definitely stay again and will recommend it to friends as well.
