Very very comfortable!
The hostess, Wendy, was extremely accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed, and she was easy to communicate with. A blizzard and extreme cold came during our stay for Christmas, and she made sure the walks and driveway were plowed each morning so we could get out to be with our family. She even had a whole house generator installed right before our arrival in case there was a power outage! Wendy went above and beyond to make sure we were safe and happy. Even our two little poodles loved it there. We would not hesitate to book her property again and that’s because she is a great hostess! Thank you for making sure we had one of the best family Christmas vacations ever Wendy! Happy New Year!

Fall Cozy Charm
We loved this property. The owner had added fall decorations that were just the right touch. Everything was comfortable and saying good morning to the horse and ponies each day was perfect!

Running the Farmhouse has been a very rewarding venture over the last 7 years and the house has a charming character all it's own. The 6 acres of trails and trees along with an old burr oak tree in the backyard, the circle of pink and blue hydrangas along with the other sun-loving sunflowers reaching to the sky provide a tranquil setting of our hobby farm at the Farmhouse! And the horses grazing in the pasture beyond the view of the backyard makes you feel like you are a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of 'real' life! The Farmhouse is a way for me to enjoy my love of gardening, animals, and just being outdoors. In addition to running the Farmhouse I work full-time at the University of Notre Dame.

Why they chose this property

I love the Farmhouse and it's historical heritage. I think all things old should be treated with love and respect and cherished. I love the Farmhouse and all that it represents of America and our heritage from days of old.

What makes this property unique

The atmosphere at the Farmhouse is refreshing and tranquil. It's charm and allure inside is just as wonderful outside on the deck looking out past the Big 100 plus old Burr Oak Tree and the fields that follow. Inside the house is decorated with antiques and country items from old. It's a great place for families or couples and provides a roomy yet cozy environment for reunions, romantic get-aways or just about any reason! It's not every day that one gets to stay in a well-maintained Farmhouse! I highly recommend it... who knows you may even enjoy the fresh sheets that we hang on the line for our guests when weather permits and perhaps you'll enjoy using the clothesline yourself... The horses, cats and pet lamb... just add to the fun and it's a great chance for kids to learn about farm animals in a fun and safe environment! I'm taken by the amazing things kids say and I truly think a stay at the Farmhouse is something you and your kids will remember for a lifetime...
