Here at Nissum Fjord you will find an impressive typical North Sea landscape in the protection of the dunes, where you can observe a wide variety of bird species, including geese and migratory birds. East of Nissum Fjord lies one of the most interesting manor houses in West Jutland, Nørre Vosborg behind a double moat. From the lovely cottage it is not far to Thorsminde, a favorite fishing spot and here it is always fun to follow a fish auction. Here the stranding museum tells the tragic story of the two English warships that sank into the depths of the sea in a hurricane on Christmas Day 1811 with almost 1400 sailors.
