Why Yvette & Christina of La Sienna chose Manhattan
When you come here this is not just a place where you sleep but a home away from home. This building is a labor of love and we enjoy what we do. We are constantly striving to make La Sienna a better place with the help of our guests. Our block is tree lined because our neighbors have come together and taken the time to make beautiful. This Studio is Vegan Friendly.
What makes this Studio unique
This brownstone was built in the late 1800s. A lot of the wood work is original. The doors, the stairs, it is a rare jewel in New York City. Our mosaic floor is unique and handmade by an Artisan. We are slowly restoring and bring this beautiful brownstone back to its original glory. We also take vegan into consideration when choosing our products. We try to learn peoples culture to provide a variety of teas, coffees and matcha. Come and join us we look forward to greeting you.

Beautiful Autumn Weekend
My mother and I absolutely loved our stay at La Sienna. I have stayed in a variety of hotels, from mid-range to high-end, in New York City and always find myself feeling cramped if sharing a room. We stayed in a unit on the first of the La Sienna brownstone and had plenty of room. The bedding was crisp and clean and I was impressed that could walk around in my white socks without them getting filthy. Because we had a kitchen, we were able to take home leftovers from a nearby Senegalese restaurant and heat them up for breakfast.
I will pass this on to Kenny, who cleans the Studio. He will be so happy to hear that. I am pleased as well. Thank you.
Beautiful, quiet and clean.
This property was in excellent condition, easily accessible, in a delicious location just north of and walkable to Central Park. The neighborhood felt safe, the house felt safe and warmly embraced us. We felt well taken care of in every way.
A bit far
Comfortable and quiet, but a bit far from midtown, the shower not so clean.
I have never received a 3 start review. I always ask if anything is not up to your standards please say something. We are located on the premises and it would have been taken care of immediately and made him happy. These are your memories that will last a lifetime so you have to speak up. My sincere apologies to you.
Charming and in a great, friendly area
We had a fabulous time for our first time in the city.. subway super easy to get to... if you’re a walker , just get out and walk . We walked 10 miles the first day.. it was fabulous! There are charming restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Double Dutch and Patisserie: great combo for a leisurely walk and breakfast. Harlem Shake fabulous! Yvette was amazing.. I asked for a couple of items, and she provided them plus a surprise 🍪 cookie!!!!!
Room was comfortable and clean . Great delis nearby too.
Yvette met us at the door to the larger building and took the time to give us some tips and get acquainted even though she had surgery the next day. (BTW, LeVaim has the best cookies imaginable)
The apartment was clean and neat, a perfect spot for two people to use as a home base. People were friendly in general, more so than elsewhere in Manhattan. Easy walk to subway or bus, but there's also a lot to see and do that we could walk to with a bit more time. Everything worked.
It was expected to rain the day we left, and Yvette sent us off with an umbrella. Very nurturing space.
Quiet apartment in 125 year old Brownstone.
Yvette was accommodating. She's doing lovely restoration of many parts of the house. The apartment had everything I needed. After the first night, I realized I was not given any wash cloths or Kleenex. Yvette said she doesn't usually provide Kleenex but graciously went out and got some for me. The TV reception was intermittent. It wasn't until I was getting ready to leave that Yvette told me I could get Netflix without any reception problem, but I did want to see the local news and weather and could only see them intermittently. One other issue was that the handle in the shower was loose and it was hard to tell where it should be turned for the right temperature of water. I got scalded before I figured it out. But these issues are relatively minor. Overall, the apartment suited me well, was very quiet and close to my son's place. I was glad to have found it.
I always encourage people to let me know if you need anything. I will check the reception. We offer netflix and you can search for the internet TV shows, the news and so on. The handle is not broken or loose that is just the way it is. Either way I will look into it.
