About this property

Rubinsø woodland homes A peaceful idyll deep in the forest These attractive holiday homes are situat

Forest idyll near the beach The forest park 'Rubinsøen' is located in the northwestern part of Bornholm, south of Hasle and only 10 km north of the island capital Rønne. A magnificent nature reserve consisting of a relaxing forest area and close to a wonderfully wide and child-friendly sandy beach. Not far from the forest park is 'Rubinsø' (Ruby Lake). The origin of this lake goes back to the time when coal was mined here. In the process, a water vein was found deep underground, which created the lake in a very short time. Today you can fish here for pike and other fish. Fishing permits are available on site for a fee. In this vacation paradise, in the middle of the sparse forest and not far from Rubinsø, these first-class, completely newly designed and in their architecture unique quality vacation homes of high standard were built in 1999. The individual houses, loosely arranged in groups of two, are harmoniously coordinated in equipment and furnishings and are extremely comfortable. Even the whirlpool was not spared on comfort. It is equipped for 2 persons and promises a heavenly underwater massage after the sauna session. Bornholm - the treasure and bicycle island Bornholm is a Dorado for active vacationers, especially for guests who want to discover the island by bike. The track network of the island railroad, which was laid down many years ago, has been developed into a fantastic network of cycle paths and has been continuously extended in recent years. And there is so much to discover. Besides the unique round churches, former fortified churches dating back to the 11th century, you will always come across the striking chimneys of the whitewashed herring smokehouses rising into the blue sky. The smell of freshly smoked herring ('Bornholmer') makes your mouth water. Try this delicacy. Nature experience island Bornholm Bornholm with its year-round mild climate offers so much uniqueness, which is hard to find elsewhere in Scandinavia: From super beaches with the finest sand at Dueodde in the south to the picturesque cliff coast with impressive shore formations in the north. And towering above it all on the northern tip are the imposing ruins of Hammershus Castle, the oldest of its kind in Scandinavia. Small distances to many experiences: - Rønne approx. 10 km - Sandvig approx. 15 km - Gudhjem approx. 20 km - Nyker approx. 8 km - Hasle approx. 1 km Quality single houses with much comfort in marvelous forest situation, all sleep areas with double or single beds (2 Pers. each), 2-Pers. -Whirl-Pool, good room layout, large sun terrace. Door width 80 cm! Rubinsøen Forest Park is located south of Hasle and only 500-1,000 m from a child-friendly sandy beach. These quality houses were built in 1999-2004 with a size of 117m2 of wood on 1250 m2 forest/nature plots each. The 42 m2 large, with light-flooded.

Rubinsø woodland homes A peaceful idyll deep in the forest These attractive holiday homes are situated in a large natural woodland beside the Rubinsø, an attractive forest lake. The houses themselves are light and tastefully decorated with modern, Scandinavian-designed furniture. They contain all that is needed for the perfect holiday, including a large, cosy living room combined with kitchen and dining room, where large partitioned windows allow you to enjoy the beautiful countryside all year round. Surrounding the holiday homes is the forest of Hasle Lystskov, which is home to a rich variety of bird life and a wealth of walking trails. For those interested in fishing, the Rubinsø is something of a goldmine for pike. The lake's stock is large, and so are the fish. Just a few minutes' walk from the holiday homes can be found a sandy, child-friendly beach complete with dunes and excellent opportunities for bathing. From here, you can experience the most fantastic sunsets over the Baltic Sea. Enjoy Hasle's unspoilt beauty The nearby town of Hasle is a charming old fishing settlement located on sloping land that rises up from the cosy harbour. The town is especially famous for its traditional herring-smoking plant, 'Hasle Silderøgeri' which functions as a working museum. Here, fish are smoked in the traditional method in open chimneys, meaning you can enjoy a meal of warm, freshly smoked herring while enjoying the most beautiful of sea views. Also in Hasle, you can visit Grønbechs Gård, a former merchant's house that is now home to the island's largest collection of art and crafts, as well as a working glass workshop. Both Hasle and Rønne, which is situated just 10 minutes' drive from the Rubinsø woodland homes, offer good shopping opportunities and numerous restaurants, cafes, galleries and museums. Bornholm: an abundance of experiences Many of Bornholm's magnificent attractions and natural sights can be found just a short distance from the Rubinsø woodland homes. Attractions include the 162-metre high 'Rytterknægten', the island's highest point topped by a tower in the attractive Almindingen forest. Lovers of nature cannot fail to be impressed by Bornholm's deep woodland lakes, large crevices and fantastic areas of natural beauty such as the 'Hammerknuden' to the north of the island, with its beautiful rocky coastline, waterfalls and rock caves. Further sights include Hammershus, the largest ruined castle in Northern Europe, the 'Helligdomsklipperne' (holy rocks) close to the town of Gudhjem, the 'Paradise Hills', home to the famous 'rocking stone' and round churches, and the small group of islands known as the Ertholms (with Christiansø as the most famous). In addition, Bornholm boasts many attractive bathing beaches, and, not least, famous man-made attractions such as the Bornholm Art Museum, the Joboland Amusement Park and Bornholm's Summer Bird Park and Tropical Land The island's long list of attractions means that one thing is certain - Bornholm has something for everyone.
