About the property

House, 2 Bedroom, 2 baths, (Sleeps 2-4)

Selecting a vacation spot in Loreto is very important. Choose a place where most everything is right where you are staying. If you choose a place out of town, you will need to rent a car or obtain a taxi that can be costly and be limited with the restaurants and other activities take place. Accommodations up to 10 people possible. IF WE ARE FULL, WE CAN HELP FIND YOU ANOTHER PLACE. Here in Loreto 'centro' is absolutely the start of a beautiful day sipping coffee from your very own patio waiting for the sun to peak up over the Island Carmen. The water at Coronado is so clear and full of white sand that the aqua color looks surreal. We can arrange all the tours of the island as well as the fishing or snorkeling for you and your companion. Bicycles and snorkeling equipment are available for your own use at no extra cost. Most of our clients find that walking to the Malecon, 2 blocks away, leads to some of the most spectacular restaurants in town or walking down our paved street just five blocks leads you to the heart of the town square, hosting more restaurants, the bank and provides you with a beautiful promenade full of shops spouting some of the Mexican souvenirs you may need to take home. Keep in mind the mission is on this promenade along with some special places to have your lunch or a fish taco.

All our construction was finished in 2006 with the highest of standards. Our all tiled swimming pool features a 12' water feature allowing for a soothing sound while enjoying the sun. It's really nice having the pool use for our guests only. Our hot tub was constructed in 2012 with views of the pool and sea. We are located about a hundred yards away from the waters edge, giving you the privacy and comfort of not having passerbys on your doorstep. This property is very private and quiet.

Our Vacation Rental is located just blocks from the town square in an area surrounded by mostly upscale American or Canadian homes. Both Lynn and Randy live on site offering you any help you need to navigate the town or recommending which restaurant may fit your appetite that evening.

Our washers and dryers are available for your personal laundry serviced by the housekeeper free of charge.

Want someone to cook for you? Authentic Mexican or traditional meals prepared on-site or catered upon request.

Why Lynn Hamman chose Loreto

The weather is wonderful. During the winter months the temperature gets down to a cool 70.....our kind of winter. We experience about 360 days of sunshine! The village is small and quaint and the local people are wonderful. WE ARE LOCATED IN TOWN WHERE ALL THE ACTIVITIES ARE HAPPENING!

What makes this house unique

Loreto is a fishing village. It's noted as one of the best fishing places in the world. There are an abundance of fish all year long. You can also whale watch, snorkel, scuba dive, explore the area for cave paintings or just plain relax by the pool.

Outstanding ammenities and wonderful hosts

  • 5 of 5

From the beginning of the reservation process to the very last day, everything went smooth and perfect. Lynn and Randy were there to answer any questions and help out in any way possible. Their condo was absolutely perfect for my husband and I. We had our own patio with hammock, lounge chairs, bbq and table. We spent so much time in their beautiful pool which looked out over the ocean, Gorgeous grounds and even someone to clean the condo every day. The bikes were a perfect addition, as we biked a short ride into town every day. I would definitely recommend this lovely property to anyone going to Loreto.

Our recent stay at the Mango Deck Casita was a remarkable one - from the location just steps away from the shell-scattered beach, to the close proximity to the bicycle-friendly Malecon walkway and Marina, and especially the beautifully tiled pool and hot tub, we enjoyed the accommodations more than we thought was possible. Randy and Lynn were perfect hosts, and made sure all our needs were met without hesitation. The daily maid service was un unexpected bonus, as were the bicycles and kayak available for us at any time. A handy map with all the local restaurants and grocery stores easily marked was quite handy. The casita itself had all the comforts of home and everything we needed to enjoy all that Laredo had to offer for the week. All in all, we give our whole experience a hardy A+ and would recommend this slice of heaven to anyone wanting to discover the true cultural feeling of Mexico.

A treasured gem!

  • 5 of 5

Where to begin? Lynn greeted us with homemade mango jam from the trees on the property. She graciously showed us around and made us feel right at home. Randy and Lynn have a gem of a place and what a ideal location! We had the use of bicycles and snorkeling gear. The pool is refreshingly delightful and the Sea of Cortez is just a stones throw away. Our unit was perfect, it was clean, the kitchen well stocked and we had use of wifi. We even had our own gas barbecue, which we regularly used. When not eating at one of the fabulous restaurants that our host recommended, we ate our meals on our private, covered patio. Even enjoyed a nap in the hammock. Beatriz took good care of us, cleaned our unit, even did our laundry! Randy set up with a fantastic guide who took us fishing, snorkeling and he suggested that our guide drop us off for lunch at the remote, exquisite, La Picazon. What a day that was! My husband and I can't say enough about our stay at the Hamman's rental. The town of Loreto is lovely, scenic, tranquil and the people are warm and friendly. Our only regret is that our stay was just one week. We WILL be back and next time extend our stay. We thank Randy & Lynn for their gracious hospitality. Perfection!

Great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

Lynn and Randy were incredibly helpful setting up fishing and snorkling trips with their friends.Even helped us navigate getting licenses. The accommodations are wonderful in all ways. It was great to have use of bicycles and snorkeling gear. We enjoyed Loreto and the surrounding areas. We will definitely be back. Oh, I forgot my camera battery charger and Lynn was thoughtful enough to send it back to me in Alaska. Great hosts and people!

Terrific Location + Terrific Owners = Terrific Stay

Located on the waterfront - close enough that you can hear the ocean "breathe" with each gentle wave on the beachfront, a short walk from the Malecon, Hamman's proved to be the ideal choice for our month's stay in Loreto. Lynn & husband Randy, were what Landlords aspire to be - professional & knowledgeable. September is a quiet time of year in Loreto and we were the only guests during our stay. What a treat to have the entire grounds to ourselves - read a book or float in the pool in total seclusion or step out the back gates to the sandy/pebble beach & warm ocean waters for a stroll or a swim. Lynn provided pick-up & drop off to/from the airport for the 15 minute drive (nice!). Lynn met and showed us to our casita with the two a/c units already on and in absolutely spotless/clean condition. We really liked the private covered patio beside our rental with outdoor dining table, BBQ, hammock, chairs, loungers, and privacy gate to the pool area and Lynn's kind manner in showing us through our home & grounds made us feel very welcome (her homemade mango jam was a real treat that we enjoyed with my toasted morning bagels…) Lynn also provides daily maid service, 5 days/week including complementary laundry services (thank-you Beatrice!), the free use of bicycles (with their front-mounted baskets, ideal for grocery shopping) as well as kayaks, air mattresses for the pool or ocean, a well-stocked kitchen (with tupperware containers - handy for picnics on the islands) and bottled water for our private water dispenser. Wifi is included plus a big television (with a load of channels) plus novels, magazines and puzzles should you need. Most mornings would find us watching the colorful sunrise over the beach cabanas with coffees in hand as we lazily discussed our plans for the day. We especially enjoyed the morning sunrise as the horizon began to lighten and the musical chatter of birds could be suddenly heard or the chapulines (crickets) at night under starry night skies and of course the tropical fauna throughout the grounds. The area is easy to explore on the provided bicycles or by cab or, book one of the many tours offered by the local tour companies. We chartered local boats for private tours of the islands at reasonable rates & found the gentle pace of the area, along with the friendliness of the residents all make Loreto the ideal holiday destination for us. You cannot go wrong staying here. Enjoy
