This lovingly restored, authentic Bar Harbor home is on a quiet street, yet in walking distance to all you want to see and do in Bar Harbor. The fenced-in Front Yard is open and sunny with Fire Pit, outdoor Adirondack Chairs - perfect for morning coffee, afternoon tea, and evening fire in a chilly night.

Free high speed Wifi, Cable TV, and a video game console are among the modern amenities you'll find here as well.

SECOND FLOOR: The over-sized Master Bedroom with a queen bed, nightstands and an 8-drawer chest.

There's another Bedroom with two matching twins and 3-drawer chests.

The bathroom is newly remodeled with a combined tub and shower.

About Hong and Logan

We love 'Ba Haba' - the magical place!

Hong and Logan purchased this house in 2008

Why Hong and Logan chose Bar Harbor

We took our family camping in our VW Vanagon in Bar Harbor in 2007. It was our very first visit and it was love at first sight. In 2008, we purchased Blue Rose Cottage because we knew this would be a place we'd want to return to each year. We hope you feel the same way.

What makes this house unique

Live like a local. Right in the heart of downtown - yet on a quiet block. Park your car and stroll everywhere you want to go. We are steps to the village green... Main Street... The Shore Path... and the Harbor!

Guestbook comments from the owner

I first need to start by thanking you for making the Blue Rose Cottage available as a vacation rental. Unlike a hotel, we had all the comofts of home available to us and we truly enjoyed our time away. Bar Harbor was everything we expected and more. We still can't stop talking about the fun we had while hiking in Acadia Ntl. Park and all of the great food we were able to enjoy.

We spent our first full day exploring the down town area and just loved how easy it was to get around. Everything was so close, so we were able to walk to shops / restaurants and get the know the area. The rest of the week we tried to cram in as many hikes as possible in beautiful Acadia National Park. We couldn't believe all of the trails that were available, with options for every comfort level.

Can you believe we had access to a great kitchen and didn't cook a thing. (Does toasting bagels count?). Seriously, how could you expect us to cook with so many great restaurants available within walking distance? This was probably the first week in our lives that we ate only fish or seafood, every day for lunch and dinner. Loved it!

We truly enjoyed our time at the Blue Rose Cottage. Thank you again for opening up your home to us so we could explore a new area. We will definetly be back for a visit again in the future.

Love this house!

  • 5 of 5

We had a family Fall get together at Blue Rose Cottage and we absolutely fell in love with this house! It's great in-town location meant we could walk everywhere easily, from the waterfront to downtown shopping and dining. The house itself is adorable. It's decorated in just the way you'd want a vacation house to be. The owners chose a delightful color palette. The rooms are comfortable for eating and preparing meals. The kitchen had everything we needed. The living room had a large TV with lots of viewing choices including Netflix which my nephews loved. We also enjoyed relaxing on the interior front porch in the evening. And loved basking in the afternoon sun in the fenced in front yard. There's also a beautiful side courtyard with a bbq grill and a picnic table. We slept soundly at night because the beds are so comfy and the neighborhood is so quiet. Everything in the house seemed fresh and new and clean. Looking forward to staying here again! Thanks!

Cozy, well equipped, quiet but convenient location with great owners

  • 5 of 5

This is a very nicely equipped and well cared for property in Bar Harbor. The neighborhood is safe and quiet; but only a 5 minute walk and you're anywhere you want to be.

Normally we're in Bar Harbor with large groups and bigger homes with multiple baths. This time we were just two couples spending a long weekend and the one bathroom cottage worked fine for us. The master bedroom was spacious with a comfy bed. The second upstairs bedroom seemed spacious, but did require the couple to sleep in separate beds. We spent our evenings sitting around the fire pit in the inviting front yard; it was incredibly quiet and relaxing even with houses close by on either side.

Hong and Logan were great throughout the process. They were very communicative from the moment we booked and were incredibly responsive to a minor scheduling snafu we had upon our arrival.

The next time we return to Bar Harbor with a small group, we'll definitely stay at the Blue Rose Cottage.

Excellent choice!

  • 5 of 5

The house was in great condition and fully equipped with just about everything. It is perfectly located -- three short blocks from the center of Bar Harbor village but on a quiet residential side street. The house was just the right size for a family of four with two young-adult children, providing enough different rooms and sitting spaces to allow each person to do their own thing. Certainly, though, there were beds and rooms to accomodate at least two more people. The only limiting factor is the one bathroom/shower, but we found it entirely workable for four adults. We loved sitting on the benches out front -- over breakfast and then after dinner -- reading, watching people walk by, or around the fire in the small "fire bowl" set-up provided. Hong and Logan (who are either owners, managers, or who knows what?) responded to emails and phone messages with questions within 24 hours and sometimes withing an hour or two. We felt attended to from afar and had no concerns about where to turn should something have gone wrong -- but nothing did. We had a great week.

Great location!

Quaint cottage with an amazing location! Leave your car in one of two parking spots and walk into town. Weather was perfect and we took advantage of fire pit and BBQ. Nicely appointed kitchen with a fun card table. Never met Hong or Logan, but only because never were we in need of a thing. Thanks!
