Knightswood is perfectly situated to take advantage of many experiences Nova Scotia has to offer. Begin in Halifax, one of the most historic cities in Canada, starting with the International Tattoo on the first of July, enjoy fireworks over our beautiful harbor from one of the many tour boats or from one of our ferries that travel back and forth to the sister cities of Dartmouth and Halifax. From museums to kayaks the city has it all. Enjoy wonderful seaside meals in many wonderful restaurants and drop into the many lively Pubs spread along the waterfront.
Our property is within walking distance of Shubie Park with swimming beach and walking and biking trails. This park also connects to the major shopping area , Dartmouth Crossing. We are also a five minute drive to Mic Mac Mall the site of many well known national and international shops.
If you would like a day out of town we are perfectly located for day trips to Lunenburg, Chester, Mahone Bay and Peggy's Cove all on the South Shore of Nova Scotia.
Another option would be to take a 40 minute drive to reach the beautiful Annapolis Valley to see the rising tides of the Bay of Fundy, and enroute to visit the National Park known as Grand Pre and the home of the Acadien people. The vineyards of the Annapolis Valley are becoming world renowned and are a must see: to tour the beautiful properties, to taste the wines while enjoying well presented lunches.
If weary from all the touring we invite all our guests to relax for a day in our gardens with a good book and quiet conversation.
