My ENTIRE 1820 Townhouse is available for rent. It's my family home, not a rental I manage. It's beautiful and historic and filled with antiques and cool stuff. It's bathed in light and in a great location. I started renting it part-time in 2009 because I work in Los Angeles quite often. It is rented by celebrities, artists, and CEOs. It's for a clientele that is used to privacy and quality.
Here's what's inside: Three bedrooms, a parlor with a Steinway Grand Piano, a Wolf stove in the kitchen, imported bathrooms, fireplaces, WIFI, flat screens, and a full garden.
The house is in a landmarked district in the middle of everything, on world famous Christopher Street, across from St. Luke's Church and playground. So unlike most townhouses, this one is full of beautiful Southern light all day--like in the South of France. You can walk to Spotted Pig, Pastis, Babbo, Magnolia Bakery, the Meatpacking District, and Soho. It's a short walk to local bakeries, gourmet coffee and cheese shops, and meat stores.
The house is on world famous Christopher Street. There is a homey local coffee house on one side and an Asian fusion restaurant on the other. There are Citibikes across the street for you to rent. The subway is two blocks away. Although the street is almost always quiet, the bedrooms have hotel-style soundproofed windows and the rooms are always silent.
I keep the price of my home reasonable so that great people will want to stay in it. Many of my guests return again and again--and you might, too. I think it's because the house is beautiful and filled with the kind of things you'd put in a house if you lived there yourself. Which I do.
