About the host
Hosted by Gael A Evangelista-Uhl
A Worcester-native, I have spent the majority of my life in the Boston area. I am a Nurse Practitioner at Mass General Hospital in Boston (currently helping with the coronavirus pandemic). I have been a summer resident of Marion for over twenty years and know all the best spots in town (feel free to ask me anything about the area!).
What originally drew me to Marion? We were looking for a quaint beach town to bring our young children during the summer that did not require a huge sacrifice in terms of a commute. We wanted to avoid all of the traffic on the bridges towards Cape Cod and be just a little closer to Boston where we lived. Thus, we stumbled upon Marion, almost a mini-Nantucket and have never left!
The original home we purchased was owned by a family friend and it had been in their family since the 1910s. It was really special that we were able to purchase it and make it our own home for all of these years.
I just love the ability to wake up and have all of the treasures of Marion right at my door. Just a few steps from the house is the heart of the town, Marion's Front Street featuring local businesses and churches.
