Eco-designed, solar-powered, 4 bedroom cottage on the corner of Bay and Murray Street. House is located in the heart of Dunmore Town within walking distance of many restaurants, stores and boutiques. House has two decks overlooking the harbor and facing west for sunsets. Spacious garden with tropical foliage and private terrace with covered, outdoor dining area in rear of house. Professionally decorated, Sonos Music System, air conditioning in all rooms throughout house, designer finishes throughout, outdoor shower, ceiling fans, internet, cable TV, and BBQ. Main level includes living room, two dining areas (one indoors, one outdoors), kitchen with modern amenities, TV room with large sofa and two chairs, full bedroom and full bathroom. Second floor includes large master bedroom with King bed and an additional bedroom with two twins (both of which open out onto large deck overlooking bay), full bathroom, and desk/office area. Garden cottage includes King bedroom and full bathroom.

Wonderful house in a great location. The owner and his staff could not have been more accommodating and nice. Everything went smoothly and owner went out of his way to make sure all our wants and needs were attended to. Highly recommend this lovely cottage!

Quaint historic HI home with harbor views and right in the heart of it all...

We had a truly wonderful stay at Bouganvillea. The home itself is charming and well appointed. Great deck off the two upstairs bedrooms with sunset views overlooking the harbor. Nice outside features on the main level as well, a covered porch both front and back for meals al fresco which was terrific. A separate/detached bedroom and bath in the back for extra privacy was also a nice addition. Walking distance to everything which was awesome, and not too noisy either despite being in the mix of things. The house has all of the amenities you would need, though we spent most days at the gorgeous beaches or out on the water. Overall a total winner! We would definitely stay here again, and would highly recommend the home to other families headed to this magical spot. Harbour Island is a true gem, and Bougainvillea was the perfect landing pad for us to experience all of its beauty. Two thumbs way up!!

Perfection

I really can't say enough about Harbour Island...or this wonderful house. My wife and I flew down with our 18 month old daughter and my wife's sister for a week in January. The house is right on the bay, just a few steps from the ferry boat dock and a few more steps from a few of the best restaurants/bars on the island. The house is much bigger than we anticipated, and was fully stocked with kitchenware and cooking supplies. The house is cozy with plenty of comfy places to lounge for a quick afternoon nap. We had a storm blow through one afternoon that knocked the power out on the island...but fortunately about half of the house runs on solar, so we were in much better shape for those couple hours than our neighbors. The house has a big deck that overlooks the bay (if there's a more perfect place to watch the sunset, I haven't seen it). There's a detached guest house that we didn't really have a need for, but would come in handy with a larger crew. The owner also informed us ahead of time that there was a pack-n-play at the house (which significantly lightened our load heading down). The owner put us in touch with a local jack-of-all-trades, Pedro before we got down there, so that we could arrange for a golf cart during our stay (the island is small, but we'd highly recommend a golf cart...especially if you're visiting the first time). Pedro had the golf cart waiting for us when we arrived, and he dropped off some fresh mahi mahi for us one night during our stay. It was the little things like this that really made this the perfect vacation. My little girl doesn't have too many words at her disposal just yet, but "beach" and "rooster" have quickly become a part of her daily lexicon. We're all ready for another vacation on Harbour Island...and we'd love to stay in this house again.

Gorgeous home in paradise

We stayed for a week over Christmas with our four daughters and son-in-law to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Bouganvillia is a gorgeous, clean, updated and well maintained home. We were grateful for the solar power as the power went out on the island for a couple days (we had one stormy day). The staff were very friendly and helpful and were always available. A real treat, especially the pink sand beaches where we spent most of our time.
