Absolute lake front country retreat

Lye Bow Lake House is a peaceful country retreat set in grounds of historic Lye Bow estate. The estate covers 8 acres of lake front parklands, orchards, and historically significant sites.

Just 6 km from Alexandra, in the heart of Central Otago - close to Clyde, Cromwell, Wanaka, Queenstown

The Lake House is just metres from the lake edge with swimming and fishing on your doorstep (please note motorised vehicles are banned on the lake).

The only neighbours are Doc's Flat Top Hill Conservation Area - locally renown for its walking and mountain biking trails - and giving you immediate access to the Central Otago cycle trails.
Special conditions:
Please note, due to the bird life on and surrounding Butchers Dam Lake motorised boats / vehicles are prohibited on the lake

The house is annexed to a small apartment (Lye Bow BnB suite) that is also available to holiday makers so we ask that you are mindful of noise after 10pm please.

Beautiful relaxing place
We had an absolutely lovely time here. Audrey was fantastic to deal with, the house was stunning, and in a beautiful location with walks on the doorstep. We had a truly lovely time, and we’re so grateful to be able to take our fur babies with us.

Gorgeous stay on the dam
Stunning location , lovely house and everything we wanted. Huge grounds to explore too. Loved getting out on the water and exploring the trails.
