About this property

Glamping in a sweet cabin overlooking lagoon

You will be 'glamping' in a small but sweet cabin with a very comfortable queen bed and beautiful views over the lagoon from the French doors of your cabin and personal deck. Your own attached bathroom with outdoor shower with hot water, basin and toilet, a simple kitchen with no refrigerator though two sizes of cooler can be provided. The facilities are simple but charming and comfortable. Listen to the sound of the sea at night. The surrounding nature is a highlight

A shared lounge in my home for your use to relax during inclement weather if you get 'cabin fever'. Note there is no TV, instead watch the dusk and sunset over the lagoon. There is an outdoor shower with hot water and privacy. A charming bathroom with sink with hot water and toilet. Ask me about a reduced price for one person. The nature of the property and access to facilities are not suitable for someone with mobility issues or very young children. Perfect for a quiet solo retreat. Feel safe and let your creativity flow if you’re a writer, artist or photographer.

I usually swim in the sea with a group of friends at 9:30am and guests are welcome to join in.

I'm happy to provide information about the area and recommend the local wineries. Pamphlets and maps provided.

Haumoana is a small semirural beach village. There is a dairy and a well stocked Four Square nearby, many vineyards, wineries and cafes. There is no public transportation so a car is advisable. It is located 20 minutes from Napier and 10 minutes from Havelock north. I'm located directly on a network of bicycle tracks that go for many kilometers through vineyards and by the sea. You can bike on off-road bike paths along the sea to Napier, the Art Deco City, Havelock a North, or Hastings.

Getting Around

There is no public transport. I am happy to pick you up at the bus station or airport and bring you out here. The grocery store is a 10 minute walk or 5 minute bike ride.

Special conditions:
Because of steep bank down to the lagoon property is not suitable for young children.

Smoking fine outside. No candles can be used in cabin.

There are two complimentary bicycles for guests.

Minimum stay is three nights. I'm often not able to accommodate same day bookings.

Extras: Cleaning (Required, NZ$30.00 per stay); Linen (included);

Check in time 2pm
Check out 11am.

An amazing location with everything you need for a few days or more! Anita is a fantastic host and has set up the cabin perfectly for your every need. Opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the small friendly Haumoana community and easy access to adventures further afield, with bike tracks close. This was a well spent two week retreat spent in a very special place. Highly recommend.

Haumamoana
A place to get away from it all but still close to amenities and the beach. Anita was a great host and completely understands the needs of travellers. Everything in the cabin is of high quality and reflects Anita’s travel experiences and caring approach.
