Foehn Cottage is boutique accommodation situated in a peaceful location on the edge of Twizel, the Mackenzie District's nearest town to Aoraki Mt Cook.
The cottage has been furnished and decorated to the highest standard. It has 2 bedrooms, sleeping up to 3 guests. There is a queen bed in the main bedroom and a king single in the second bedroom. Foehn Cottage can be enjoyed the year round, it has a modern heating system and is fully insulated. The cottage is fully equipped with microwave, 2-element ceramic cooktop, kitchen utensils and fridge. Covered carport. Heat pump/air conditioning. Wall-mounted flat screen TV in lounge and master bedroom. Linen and towels supplied.
Twizel is a major accommodation hub on the Alps to Ocean cycleway. Easy access to the Twizel loop walkway/bike track and Twizel river. Only a 15 minute walk or 5 minute drive into town, where there is a good selection of cafes and restaurants.
Lake Ruataniwha, Lake Benmore, Lake Ohau, Mt Cook and the Alps to Ocean cycleway are all on our doorstep. Twizel truly is an awesome playground for the whole family both in summer and winter. Please feel free to ask questions.
