Nice base to explore the West Coast
Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay at Anene's house. The location is great, a spacious garden opening up towards the sea with good ocean views (a bit overgrown) and lots of privacy. Those who claim there is no immediate beach access haven't checked well enough. There are some stairs leading into a sort of gully which is filled with water after rain, in that case it is possible to wade through shallow water (no more than ankle-high) towards the left and cross about 20 meters further down. The waterlevel drops after one or two dry days and then it is possible to reach the beach on dry feet via the same route. As the previous visitors wrote, the property is up for sale, but that did not disturb our stay. Some of the furniture in the house seemed a bit old and used, the fireplace works fine (lots of driftwood on the beach and we also bought some wood locally). It was weird to pay an internet usage fee of 70 Dollars for one week, as such a service is normally either included or simply not available in a holiday home. Also guests are expected to clean the house before departure which is not clearly stated in the offer; there are many places that do not charge a separate cleaning fee but cleaning is included all the same.

Not value for money
We were surprised at all the additional charges on top of what was advertised eg internet fees$20, service fees etc and we had to do our own cleaning. We arrived to find the property was for sale and an open home had been organised for the next day of our stay and had to get the managers to sort it out. The managers were not the one given to us by Book a Bach The shower had green mould on the outside of it down the bottom wherer it joined the woowork. The TV was difficult to operate so we didn't use it. It was really really expensive for what it was. You couldn't even walk to the beach from the property. We wouldn't recomend it to any one

Great location in Granity
This is a nice house in a beautiful beach-front location in Granity. The house is fairly basic and hasn’t had a huge amount of TLC for a while (e.g. the fridge door needed to be propped shut with a chair), but it has everything you need in a quiet spot by the ocean. The owners send a lot of information before arrival, but the main thing (slightly hidden at the end of their long instructions) is to remember your own towels and linen as these are not provided.
