About this property

Cosy cottage with sleep out overlooking the reserve in central Kinloch

Summary:
Our comfortable three bedrooms home has a spacious lounge and a new kitchen with a separate sleep out. You can enjoy a BBQ on our deck overlooking the reserve and listening to the Tui in the trees. . We are very close to the beach and Marina, shop and restaurant. We have two international mountain bike tracks starting in the village, and two golf courses to choose from. Our local course is a 10 hole course and the International Jack Nicklaus course is just up the road. Bring your boat, there is plenty of room to park outside and the fishing is great, or spend the day water skiing. There are tennis courts and children play area just down the road in the domain, and plenty of lovely walks around Kinloch to enjoy.

Extras: Cleaning (Required, NZ$90.00 per stay); Linen (Optional, NZ$20.00 per person per stay); total payment includes a book fee of $70 per stay that may not be reflective within your booking channel invoice.

The Space:
Our lovely quiet cottage has three bedroom in the main house and another two bedroom in the newly renovated sleep out. A bathroom in both buildings. Plenty of parking and easy access.

The Neighborhood:
Kinloch is a great safe village, with lots of thing to do for all ages. Swimming in the lake, play grounds, tennis courts and or course the marina to launch your boat and two golf courses, all within the village. There are several bike tracks that leave from Kinloch and also boat access to the tracks across the lake.
There are also may lovely walks including the Whangamata Stream walk to view the historic Kinloch Station waterwheel.

Getting Around:
Walking will get you to most places.
Bike if you want to get there quicker

Other Things to Note:
30 minute drive into Taupo
Two hour drive to Whakapapa snow field
Fuel available at the Marina
Kinloch General Store has most things including Lotto. Takeaways all year round and wood fired pizza available during the summer holiday period
The Tipsy Restaurant is Kinloch's best kept secret, with great meals, takeaways and coffee.

Great location and perfect for big families
Had a wonderful holiday at the bach. Peaceful, well positioned close to the lake, well stocked and plenty of space for extended families. Really enjoyed our stay thank you.

Thank you for a lovely stay
We came for a short getaway with family and had a really lovely time. The house was well kept and cozy. The deck has a lovely view and the large sun umbrella made it ideal for all day use. The gas bottle ran out but Johnny sorted this quickly with great communication. Would recommend :)

Great Location
Great place to stay, within walking distance of Lake and Marina. We all had a great time as a family as having the extra cottage was perfect for my daughters little family. Only downside was that the cottage had no hot water as it wasn’t working and we found John the rental manager to be unresponsive to messages we sent. Would definitely love to come back and stay here again

Kinloch paradise
Great place within a fab neighbourhood, 5 min walk to the lake. Unfortunately we stayed during wet weather so were unable to use the BBQ or the outdoor seating, but it looked lovely. Did have to pay extra for linen but I see they have a cupboard stocked full so thought that should be included as we paid a cleaning fee upon booking which usually includes bedrooms. But otherwise thoroughly enjoyed our stay, really responsive property manager when we locked ourselves out of the sleep out and this place was perfect for our group of 6.
