Very poorly managed
The house is beautiful, well-designed, and well-located. But t had two flaws, one major and one minor. Major: Although it has a washing machine, there is no dryer, which makes the washer completely useless. We had to go into town to do our laundry. Minor: Only one very small trash can in the entire house. More importantly, the company that manages the home, which I'm told manages numerous properties in Hanmer Springs, does a terrible job. Here's why: We had "hired" linen, and none was there when we arrived. We finally got sheets at 10:20pm, and only the top sheets arrived. A half hour later, after another call, the remaining sheets, pillow cases, and bath towels arrived. Two of our group slept on the mattress with no sheets that night. The next day they delivered hand towels. What's more, the four sets of sheets were for 3 different sized beds, and there was no indication on the sheets which ones were for which beds. Aside from the poor delivery, I would expect when we hire linen that we would find the beds already made up. Further, although the kitchen is well stocked with utensils, there are zero amenities in the house. We were left exactly one tiny "round" of soap for use in two bathrooms. It took another day for them to deliver two more disks of soap. We would love to stay here again, but only with the assurance that the management group had gotten its act together. One member of our group is in the hospitality business, and he simply couldn't believe the poor management.
