About this property

Enjoy the sound of the birds among the trees

Five minutes walk to the centre of town, this charming fully-furnished family home is set among trees in a quiet location across the road from Gleeson Park. This reserve is mainly lawn and trees with a small playground for children, and is suitable for family games and picnics ... bring your badminton net!
Designed and built by an architect in the 1960s, the quirky home has many interesting features including a narrow sky-view strip that runs the length of the roof. Very little has been modified over the years, apart from the original balcony. This was completely rebuilt (2017) to comply with modern building-safety standards.
The master bedroom upstairs has a small bridge that leads across to an elevated private garden with fruit trees.
While the main bathroom has a shower, toilet and bath, upstairs there's a second toilet with hand basin.
Being a chalet style with open stairs, our holiday home is not ideally suited for wee toddlers or the infirm.
Off street parking is available for up to three vehicles.
Special conditions:
Minimum stay 2 nights.
$190 per night for 2 adults, plus $10 per night per extra person.

Smoking allowed outside only.

Extras: Linen (included); Free Wifi (included);Sky TV. (included)
NOTE: Under Kiwi Bach tradition you are expected to leave the Bach in a tidy condition.

Awesome
We are here March 2020. We are here in a scary time in the world with a world virus. We could not have had a better place to stay. A spacious 3 bedrooms and 2 bathroom. A fantastic outdoor space. We are 3 seniors who travel together. So we had lots of space to read and watch TV. We were on 2day lockdown before we could leave for the Airport and Canada. Thank you for your generous understanding

Napier getaway
We found the house very quirky, but homely. Perfect location for our needs. We were greeted on arriving, and shown around. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Enjoyable stay
Came to Napier to attend a concert. Location is in easy reach of main street and also McLean Park. The home is well maintained with a few quirky features which add to it's charm. Our host was very helpful. Thank you

A relaxing place to be
A quirky home which was a pleasure to stay in. Suitable for those who can cope with stairs as there are two long flights of stairs. A large open plan kitchen/dining/lounge which was well used during our stay. Everything we needed, and more, was provided making this the perfect place to stay for our two day minibreak. We did not park in the driveway as it looked a bit tricky to reverse out of and instead chose to park on the side of the road.
