About this property

Absolute beachfront bach

"Poukoura" The golden rays of a new day casts its brightness on the pillar of our dwelling. This is what this property is all about. A bach situated on a private beach shared by the owners Ash, Michelle and their three sons. Access to two other private beaches can be made easily by foot. The house is situated on the historic site of the Purerua Mullet Canning Factory owned by W Mountain in the early 1900's. It is a short drive to Marsden Cross where the first church service was held in New Zealand. The township of Kerikeri is 25 minutes away where there is a wide range of restaurants, wineries, cafes and all the usual amenities you may require. Russell and Paihia by boat is only 15 minutes away. If you don't have a boat fishing off our floating pontoon or the rocks is always a lot of fun and you can be guaranteed to catch a fish whether it is small or large. A lot of fun can be had water skiing, wakeboarding and speeding around on the biscuit at all tides.

Peaceful Paradise
Amazing private spot. Great fishing and great hosts. The Bach was super clean and comfortable for us and our two teens. Loved walking up to feed Archie the Kunikuni Pig and see the horses.

GETAWAY PARADISE
The perfect place to recharge batteries, unfortunately too cold in August to use the kayaks, but just sitting on the deck looking at that view was so peaceful. Michelle is delightful, and came over immediately we contacted her as we wanted to watch the news on TV, but couldn't get it to work. Don't know why we wanted to do that, we don't watch at home because of the negativity. There is 10km of metal road, quite rough so if you haven't driven on metal roads, bear it in mind. It was fine for us, but should be noted. Enjoy!!

Peaceful oasis
We loved our stay in this beautiful piece of NZ paradise! The Bach is so comfortable and modern and has everything required and the views are out of this world! We absolutely loved fishing off the jetty and catching a few good snapper! Michelle was amazing to deal with and we couldn’t have been happier! If you need a break from the ‘noise of life’ then this is the perfect place to just be! Loved it thank you so much Michelle and fam 😀
