Essex idyll
A beautiful cottage in a peaceful idyllic setting. The accomodation was perfect for our family of five (the three little kids shared the big loft bedroom), with everything we needed for a week's stay. A lovely garden that the kids could run around in. So much to do in the local area, but most of our time was spent visiting family. I would recommend Rookwoods for young families and couples of any age seeking a peaceful getaway in the Essex countryside.

Excellent holiday
The cottage was very comfortable and attractively laid out. It provided a large social area and 2 very comfortable bedrooms. As frequent visitors to the area to visit family this was one of the best places we have stayed. Underfloor heating in the bathrooms was most welcome as the weather was very cold, also plenty of heating in the main room with the option of an open fire.. Would not hesitate to recommend Rookwoods to friends. Thank you for a really enjoyable stay.
