As the ideal location to explore the beautiful walks and cycle routes of Wye Valley and Forest of Dean, this tranquil and welcoming cottage is also the perfect base for going further afield to the fascinating and thriving towns of Ross-on-Wye, Monmouth, Symonds Yat and Ledbury. Sorry, no pets & no smoking. Shop & pub 1.5 miles. Note:Due to the location the wifi can be intermittent. Note: this property only accepts bookings starting on Saturday.

Please note if booking the weekend of 13th June 2024 there is a local festival nearby (GemFest) which will be ongoing and may cause some noise disruption. Apologies for any inconvenience.

Perfectly located between Ross-on-Wye and Monmouth, two ancient market towns with magnificent timbered Tudor buildings, old market halls, great shops, restaurants and pubs, Howle Hill has spectacular views towards the Royal Forest of Dean. The lovely River Wye offers many recreational opportunities – take a stroll along the banks, hop on a scenic river cruise or take in the breathtaking views from the vantage point of a hot air balloon. Venture to the 12th century Goodrich Castle, or stride out along Offa's Dyke or the Wye Valley Walk - why not take the ferry to the Wye Valley Visitors Centre too?
