Relaxing week away
As a family of 4 we wanted a holiday to switch off and just enjoy being together and staveley provided this. The cottage is beautiful and the second lounge a real bonus and where we spent most of our time. There are walks from the doorstep or a 10min drive to key towns. The children (11 and 13) enjoyed the views and nature as much as the adults. Would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting some focused family time.

Beautiful cottage in beautiful area
We had a lovely stay. The second living room is amazing and the cottage was perfect for us. The location is brilliant too with walks on the doorstep and close to Windermere with all that has to offer. The local village is also very well serviced with coffee shops, bike hire, butchers, Spa, pharmacy and a micro brewery! There's also a fish and chip shop, with a pizza place opening soon apparently. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect Pear Tree Cottage.
This cottage was perfect! Beautiful inside and out, it was so comfortable and had everything we needed. The log burner was perfect for cold nights. The double bed was so comfortable, with fab views over the fields. The cottage is positioned on the edge of Staveley and close to a shop, brewery and pub. This was our first time in the Lake District and it is a beautiful area. I would definitely book this cottage again.

Easy access to the south lakes
This little cottage was ideal for our few nights escape. Staveley is a nice little village with a fabulous pub and handy store. It is also conveniently placed for access to the south lakes if you are prepared to drive. The cottage was clean and the kitchen area well thought out to use the space available, and also reasonably well equipped. Unfortunately, i have a back problem, so the bed wasn't very comfortable but the other guests were all fine. In spite of the miserable weather while we were there, the cottage was cosy and heats up quickly. The parking space was very convenient and the neighbours friendly. In all, we found the stay very enjoyable and could have happily spent a lot longer there to explore more.

Why they chose this property

,WE BOUGHT THE COTTAGE 9 YEARS AGO BECAUSE WE LOVED THE POSITION IT WAS IN AND THE WARM COZY ATMOSPHERE THE HOUSE HAD DESPITE ITS UNMODERNIZED CONDITION. AFTER A YEAR OF HARD WORK EXPOSING ORIGINAL FEATURES LIKE THE FIREPLACE,OAK BEAMS AND UPSTAIRS FLOORBOARDS AND ADDING MODERN ESSENTIALS WE DECIDED TO LET THE COTTAGE TO HOLIDAYMAKERS WITH MANY GUESTS RETURNING SEVERAL TIMES OVER THE YEARS.WE ALSO HAVE OUR HOLIDAYS HERE WITH THE KIDS. WE HOPE YOU ENJOY THE PLACE AS MUCH AS WE DO.
