Wonderfully experience
I absolutely recommend this lovely house. Communication with the owners was great. Very friendly and helpful. Location is incredible. We were able to walk to Arthur’s seat, Holyrood Palace, the Royal Mile/Edinburgh castle and the train station all while pushing two kids on a stroller. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house had all we needed.

Excellence in Edinburgh
From the property owner’s warm welcome and treats to the comfort, location and appeal of the home, we couldn’t have asked for anything better for our stay in Edinburgh.

Amazing place for a stay in Edinburgh.
Absolutely fantastic property with space and fantastic views, we loved it here. Four bedrooms, three with en-suites and another full bath plus 2 living spaces and a great kitchen and dining room was very welcoming after staying in a London flat. Everything was of high quality and the beds were very comfy. We loved having the park, Arthur's Seat, and Salisbury Crag in our backyard and made good use of the trails while there. I could go on and on about this place as it was just fantastic with a great host who was very responsive. We stayed 10 nights and they even offered to swap out linens halfway through and when we got back to the house that day it had been cleaned as well; just amazing. Will stay again.

Perfect location, house, host (will return)
Perfect location (no tourist, walk to anything one wants). Perfect house, four floors for family and friends to spread out across. For queer folk, super nice queer-bar 15-minute walk away (seriously friendly and welcomining). Host was amazing (responding in minutes or hours to every question or request). Exceeded every possible expectation. Will come back to this house/host on our next visit. And if not available on the dates we ask.... we're so keen, that we'll just change our travel dates so as to benefit from this lovely house. Close to parks, groceries, attractions, UBER, Arthur's Seat, queer-bar.

Scotland Christmas Vacation
My family, my husband, 2 adult children and myself had a very enjoyable time at this property. There was plenty of room for everyone to enjoy spending time in the city as well as downtime. The weather was cold and rainy and the fireplace made our stay warm and inviting. We had a couple of questions due to our itinerary and response was quick from the host and very helpful. If we visit Edinburgh again, I will definitely check this property first for availability.

Host profile image
We are Mike and Cheryl Cran who own the house. We lived in Edinburgh when we were first married but left over 20 years ago because of our jobs.

We love Edinburgh and fell in love with this house as soon as we saw the stunning views.

We use it whenever we can between short term lets and trust you will enjoy its beautiful location in the heart of the city and all that Edinburgh has to offer as much as we do every time we visit.

Our profile photo was taken in July 2015, just after we bought the house and staying in Edinburgh while supporting our daughter playing Lacrosse for Scotland in the Under 19s Lacrosse World Championships.

Why they chose this property

The views from a townhouse set in the city are stunning - virtually rural - and yet you are only 6-7 bus stops or a 15 minute walk from the city centre and all that Edinburgh has to offer as a capital city.

What makes this property unique

A small south facing garden with Holyrood Park over the garden wall provides stunning views, an excellent walking / exercise area and without the normal city noise.

The efficiency of a modern house providing warmth and efficient showers with copious hot water.

A garage and second parking space are invaluable in a capital city centre property.

All that a capital city centre offers close at hand but with the benefit of a "near rural" setting.
