About this property

In the heart of Mullion Village, close to Polurrian Beach & Village Services

Built in 1880 and situated by Saint Mellanus, a 15th century church, in heart of Mullion village, is Elm Terrace, a family friendly end of Terrace cottage on England's most southerly peninsula - The Lizard. The warm, welcoming village atmosphere alongside the endless places of interest and outstanding natural beauty are perfect for family holidays or a getaway with friends for a long weekend. This family friendly cottage is ideally located for exploring the beautiful local beaches and coves such as Polurrian, Poldhu, Kynance and Kennick Sands and also an ideal location to visit the National Maritime Museum, RNAS Culdrose, The Chocolate Factory, Gweek Seal Sanctuary, and Poldark Mines or going out for the day to visit the other beautiful sites of Cornwall such as St. Ives, St. Michael's Mount, Falmouth and the counties numerous National Trust properties.
The cottage's central location, with on site parking, is within walking distance of numerous amenities in the village such as the Mounts Bay Hotel and The Old Inn, a picture postcard thatched Inn, where the family can enjoy great food; or alternatively the fish and chip shop or the pizzeria just around the corner. Having a play park with a zip wire and acres of space for football and cricket allows lots to do for the children in their free time and a place to meet new friends.
Whether it's relaxing by the log burner on a cold Christmas evening after an exhilarating coastal walk or dusting off the sand after an all day beach combing and surfing session with some speciality hot chocolates or ice cream from Poldhu Beach Cafe, Elm Terrace is the ideal family cottage.

Great cottage in a lovely village
This cottage was lovely with everything we might need. In a great spot as well. And a very helpful owner. Thanks for having us- hoping to be back soon!

Lovely stay
Five of us, 3 adults and 2 children (13 and 10) stayed for a week. A lovely property in a fantastic location. The property itself is larger than the pictures suggest, the upstairs in particular being of a very decent size. The shower is very good, and the layout of the property has been well thought out. The welcome pack provided by the owner is comprehensive and helpful. The place itself is perfect to explore the local coves, all within walking distance if you don't mind a few hills or gravel tracks. You can access them by car if not. Lizard point and Kynance Cove are also walkable if you love some steep trails (again we love that sort of thing), otherwise again they are accessible by car within a 10 minute journey. A brilliant place.

Welcoming family cottage
We enjoyed a week at October half term in Mullion. The cottage is well-equipped, other than a mystifying lack of saucepans, and very homely. It's a great location, in the heart of the village, and Raj did everything to ensure we had a trouble-free stay.

Lovely cottage, location and holiday
Even before we started the holiday, the owner, Raj , was extremely helpful, and friendly. On arrival really happy with the cottage - larger that the photos suggest and plenty of room for 6 of us. Located at the heart of the village, it was perfect for everything you need; shops, lovely Old Inn pub, restaurant local beaches and other stunning places. We are now huge fans of Mullion!
