A warm welcome in a wonderful location
We have recently returned from a week at this property and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to take time out to relax, to experience living in a beautiful old town, to eat out in great restaurants on the doorstep, and to enjoy all that the nearby lake has to offer. Kate was a wonderful host and welcomed us warmly. The house had everything that we needed and the location was peaceful and rural but had the advantage of shops and restaurants and the beautiful river being in walking distance. The garden was very useful on hot days / evenings and the indoor pool was very lovely too. We will definitely be returning. Thank you for such a great stay Kate - we hope to meet John next time.

Lovely week in Eymoutiers
We had a very beautiful week at the house of Kate and John in Eymoutiers. It is a big and old house in the centre of Eymoutiers but in a calm and quiet place. The apartment is nice and modern equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The nice swimming pool was the favourite place for the children, and the beautiful garden made the total house a relaxing place. Kate and John are very friendly hosts and they made us feel very welcome from the moment of our arrival throughout the whole time. The provided lots of information about the town and the area and gave us many ideas of what we could do. Especially our children loved them. In and around Eymoutiers there are many things to see and to do. We enjoyed the day at the lake Vassiviere the most. There are many attractions for children, too. One day we even drove to the cave of lasceaux which is about 2 hours away from Eymoutiers. We would highly recommend the property as nice and relaxing place and as a fantastic base from which to explore this picturesque area of France.

We love France: its rich culture, friendly people and wonderful food and wine. After holidaying in many parts of this fabulous country we eventually discovered France’s hidden treasure at the heart of the country – the Limousin region, and our little gem of the old heritage town of Eymoutier. The area is so relaxing! At last we found what we were seeking and settled here without hesitation in 2004.

We‘ve had no regrets. We developed our holiday apartments at La Jolie Masion and enjoyed hosting so many wonderful guests ever since, none of whom have been disappointed.

It’s no surprise. We have been sharing our little treasure with them, and they have enjoyed it. Many have come back again for more, some several times and some hoping to settle here themselves.
