Excellent location with just about all amenities on the doorstep: shops cafes, bars, train station
This property was as described and probably more than anticipated. It is very big with spacious rooms. It is excellently equipped and we couldn’t think of anything that you would need and it not be available. On arrival which was much appreciated, there was milk in the fridge as well as biscuits, wine and cereals for us. The facilities: washer and drier as well as an airier were great with even the use of detergents. Again it made life away from home easy and many other unexpected things were available. The location is excellent and we picked this one as we attended Carfest festival but visited other places as well. Great to be be able to take less than a five minute walk to many bars, restaurants and cafes. The only other thing I can say is that the furnishings were a little ‘tired’ however it was our holiday home and that wouldn’t stop us from using it again were we to holiday in that area again. The owners have certainly covered all bases in respect of hospitality and yes recommend it to others.

Suited us perfectly
We weren't on holiday but this was just what we needed for a week. Loved the central location in particular.

Good Location and Plenty of Room
We spent 10 days in England splitting our time between day trips to London and trips to the countryside. This was the perfect location. The train station was a short walk away followed by a 50 minute ride to London. Bath, Winchester, Bournemouth, and Stonehenge were 60-90 mins away by car. Oxford was 60 mins away by direct train. Our family of 4 also enjoyed all the space to spread out in the property. The kids had their own comfortable rooms, allowing us adults plenty of peace and quiet to unwind after long days. Or to watch the World Cup on TV undisturbed.

Great location and Amazingly well equipped home away from home!
We spent a month here .. 3 generations and each of us delighted with all the home provided .. Great location, comfortable beds, good bathrooms on each of the three levels, gourmet kitchen facilities, washer and dryer. The home was a treasure trove of entertainment: large screen tv's , board games, library of books , video games, huge collection of movies. The outdoor space had a great large table and barbecue area. The owners manual was precise and easy to use and understand! We had a 30 day rail pass and with the train from Basingstoke going in all directions we were able to go near or far every day. Quick trip to London or even Wales! The mall provided many stores. The new Waitrose was just minutes away and provided many choices for daily meals ... Also M and S, Tesco or Sainsbury. Jo and Andy answered the few questions we had quickly and kindly. We spend a month in Europe every summer and this home topped our list for services, location, and furnishings. We will highly recommend it to family and friends.

Locals to the town of Basingstoke for many years, we lived in this house for several years before moving out and offering it to the rental market. We love this house, and its enviable location in town, and hope you will love it too.

Why they chose this property

It is situated in one of the most prestigious and convenient roads in Basingstoke, only minutes away from Festival Place shopping centre, Eastrop Park, and the railway station. And with off street parking so close to the town centre too.
