4/10 Poor

Location is perfect. The setup is more specific.
Again: location is at the hart of Maiori. The apartment is in one of the last remaining authentic buildings along the strip. The building is beautifully maintained.
The apartment is accessable through a series of lock and key systems. One would almost assume Maiori has a safety issue. We found no evidence of this however. With the devided areas though; one set of keys is not sufficient for a familie with selfsufficient teenagers. Furthermore; these locks require a particular way of handling.
The apartment is furnished in a very unique way. This was a wonderful experiance. It made me intregued to find out why the owner introduced many pictures linking to the Italian movie L'Amore with the unique actrice Anna Magnani. The bathrooms are allso a very good solution to the question of how to maintain these wonderfull rooms and yet profide two functioning luxurious bathrooms. We realy want to compliment the owner for the choices they made!
Why did we rate our stay with only two stars:
- the kitchen is minimal. Cooking is realy not an option. No basic needs such as salt, peper, herbs, washing up liquid, cleaning materials. Only two electrical plates and one oven. No work space,
- the roof terrace is great, but there is nothing in place by which we could transfer or keep cool/warm familie amounts off food/drinks. The lounge chairs are inflexible and okay for about three minutes, after which you want to lay your head down, but can't. The table and chairs are fine. So is the shower. Best time: before 10:00 and after 17:00. No lights though so eather had to buy candles or stay in the dark. Due to the "Fort Knox" situation going back and forth between the apartment (first floor) and the terrace (third floor by well functioning elevator) was a hassle. So made very little use of it,
- the rubish apparently needs to be devided, which is fine. So we did as we do at home. However there was no way of dropping them off nicely. The neighbour insisted on us keeping the carbage in the appartment. We had some issues here,
- the parkingspace provided might be fine by Amalfi standards, but one needs to have a steady nerve to park here.
This location is best suited for Yuppie, non cooking, city folks who love a uniquely decorated dwelling, just have drinks at the terras and make very little carbadge.
