Hidden Beach villas Unit 122 has recently been renovated with a beautiful walk in tile shower, nice shower head and a very nice shower door, new lighting, blinds and the ceiling has been updated. It has tile through out. Across the road from the white sands and emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico. A short walk to Seaside and Watercolors. Bike rentals available for sight seeing through the beautiful villages on 30-A. Major shopping areas available just a short distance away. This area is very laid back and family oriented with fine dining available.

This beautiful studio is designed with a fully equipped kitchen. Linens and towels are provided and there are on sight washers and dryers for your convenience. With this rental you can easily access the pool and the beach. For the quiet nights in, grilling is accessible with the charcoal grill located right off the patio. Why Sylvia Mitchem chose Seagrove Beach

I grew up in the DeFuniak Springs FL area and always loved the beaches at South Walton so I purchased this place in 1997 to have a place to stay when I wanted to go to the beach. It is perfect for a get a way and I never have enough time to do all the things I want to do. Maybe because I spend to much time enjoying the beach or riding bikes on the bike path.

Nice, affordable condo in a great location.

Sylvia was very easy to deal with and condo was exactly as described. Just steps across 30A to beach and only a short bike ride to Seaside. Bike rentals and convenience store within walking distance. We would definitely return. Condo was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Only negative would be the mattress on pull-out couch. It needs to be updated.

Basic needs were met.

This place was super basic and is in need of some upgrading and deep cleaning. Bed was uncomfortable and the walls are thin so neighbors will be heard. The property owner was friendly and accomodating. Good location!

Owner's Response: Most of the time noise is not a problem and I never hear a TV next door but if you have loud neighbors you may be able to hear them. The entire complex would be the same way. Everyone has their own likes and dislikes about beds. I hope you enjoyed your visit to the beach.

Excellent Location, Nice Upgrades

I have been going down to 30-a for 20 years and absolutely love it. I never go to any other beach. However this was my first time staying in the Hidden Beach condos. The location is excellent and the size is very nice for a studio. It has a large bathroom and nice kitchen. The mattress in the Murphy bed could be better and we did not use the sleeper sofa. The owner was responsive and easy to work with.

One particular issue we had to deal with were some bugs. I know that some fly in when the door opens but there were some issues with spiders in the bathroom and some roaches.

With that being said I appreciate that wifi was added. Also the note about being charged for leaving over 2 loads of laundry, for things like towels and sheets, was a little odd. Overall great stay with just a couple issues.

I will contact the property manage about having the pest control company check the property, however in the past they have said any bugs come in from the outside and there is not a problem. The entire complex is under a contact with the same pest control company.

Location, location, location

I would stay here again simply for the convenience of where it is. It's a tad over a mile to the Seaside city square. You could walk it, but renting one of the bikes (that can be done nearby) would make it super easy to cruise down there frequently. The condo is tiny, which you know when you're booking it, but who stays in the condo too much while they're at the beach? (beach is an easy minute walk across the street; very nice!) My one daughter took the murphy bed (could sleep 2), my younger daughter took the single bed built into the wall. I took the pull out couch. This is my only negative. The mattress on the pull out couch should be taken outside and used for a bonfire. When new, it was probably OK, but it's literally falling apart, springs are missing or coming loose, and the bar that digs into your back was brutal. I ended up sleeping diagonally in an attempt to find something that worked. I can sleep anywhere, so I made it work, but be warned of its high level of discomfort. If you can sleep 2 in the murphy bed and one in the wall single and avoid the couch bed, you'll be fine. Overall, though, the bathroom is nice and big, the kitchen had everything I needed to make some dinners, and the pool is right out your back door (this unit is in the back of the horseshoe shaped building). Basically, if you've never won the lottery and therefore can't stay directly in Seaside, this is the place to go. You won't find anything more cost effective this close to Seaside anywhere. Also, the owner recently added WiFi, and it worked really well (Thanks for that!). So, I would recommend this unit. My daughters and I will be back next summer. Also, there is a nice Publix about a mile away, and you can stock up there and use the fridge and the kitchen cooking supplies and make your own meals to save some $.

Disgusting- no stars would be appropriate.

The place looked like it had not been cleaned in ages. There was a layer of dust on everything. The floors were filthy. All the glass top tables were all smudge up so it was very clear that no one even did a quick walk through to make sure the place was clean for us. If they had, maybe they might have noticed the dead roaches on the floor. The pull out couch was not functional so we only had the Murphy bed and a small bunk. There were no extra linens to use and had only one towel to a person. There is also an extra laundry fee of $15 per load if there is more than two loads of laundry for them to do upon check out. The bathroom was decent except the ring of dirt in the tub. There was no wifi which is not a priority but I think in this day and age it should be mentioned. The thermostat is so ancient they we were constantly adjusting it and air always smelled stale a good sign the filters and vent are dirty. Oh let me not forget the shower is only hot for ten minutes at a time. The back patio was cute except for the cigarette butts and trash laying around. I understand missing a couple details but this was much more than that. This place could have been a little gem but instead it was a dump.

And for VBRO and HomeAway, shame on you. It was my understanding going through your company would ensure me a nice place and that is why I pay the service fee. Instead I got a place that needed more cleaning than I could do in a day and to top it all off it is not even on the map correctly which in my book is false advertising.

Owner's Response: Dina. All the property reviews in the past have been very positive and the comments show the condo to be very clean. This is the first negative review I have ever had. I clean the condo because I want to make sure it is completely cleaned and dusted after ever renter. The hot water heater was replaced two years ago and it is the biggest one you can fit in the space which is bigger than the one originally in the condo. Pest control checked the condo in February and there are no bugs. If you leave the door open palmetto bugs can fly in. The ceiling and lighting was all just updated and new blinds were installed. Washers and dryers are located behind the pool.

Cozy, clean, and comfortable.

This was perfect for my daughter

and me. We would choose it again. The only suggestion I have is for wifi to be provided. That is a must these days! Otherwise, a lovely efficiency.
