About Tom and Sheda Savage
Tom and I have been living in France for just over 9 years now, having moved here from Yorkshire, England. One of the best decisions we have ever made. I trained as an aromatherapist in England and now work in France as a 'Praticienne en massage de bien être'. Tom, my husband, has done such a good job renovating the gite, he now works renovating other peoples houses, from small odd jobs to full house renovations. We like nothing better than going for a walk in the morning, with beautiful countryside on our doorstep or sometimes, to be more energetic, take a cycle ride. We have travelled to many places in our lives from the Canary Islands to Kenya, but we are always happy to return to our 'little Tuscany' in France. Why not join us and discover why we settled in this special part of SW France?

A peaceful relaxing gite in rolling countryside.
A fine relaxing stay with excellent caring hosts.
The gite was extremely comfortable and well equipped.
Tom and Sheda and were at pains to make sure we had everything we might need.
It had a peaceful and relaxing location which we enjoyed to the full.
We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for leaving the Gite so clean.
We also enjoyed your company and hope that if you find yourself in the Tarn you pay us a visit.
Rest and relaxation!
Very warm welcome and excellent detailed instructions of how to find the property. The gite we stayed in is very comfortable and has all you need and more! Wonderful hosts who are there if you need them and are so knowledgable about the area. We enjoyed a very relaxing stay and would not hesitate to recommend South Tarn Gites.
Beautiful gite with very welcoming hosts
As a family of four with two 8 year old boys we stayed at the gite for 2 nights. Tom and Sheda could not have done more for us to help us enjoy our stay. The gite is really homely and the perfect stay for exploring beautiful Lautrec and it's wonderful surrounds.
We'd highly recommend a stay here if visiting the area.
Thank you Laia and John for your kind review. We always say that we want the Gites to be somewhere that we would want to stay when on holiday. We are glad you enjoyed it here, and visiting our beautiful region.
Great property. Could not have been better. Perfect.
This is one of the best places we have stayed over the years. The property is comfortable, relaxing and an easy close drive to Latrous (3miles) and Casters(5 miles). The fireplace makes for a wonderful evening with a glass of wine after a day of touring the Midi-Pyrenees.
The inn keepers (Tom & Sheds) are warm and welcoming. They are a wealth of information and go out of their way to make you comfortable. Could not be better,
Bonjour David and Essa
Thank you for your review. We so much appreciate your kind words and it gives us a reassurance that we are achieving what we always set out to do; to do our best.
Have a wonderful onward journey and safe trip back home.

Sunflowers and Serenity
We had a superb time here in the middle of the countryside - populated by fields of sunflowers - but near to charming towns and villages. It was a great place to unwind and both Tom and Sheda were excellent hosts: thoughtful, helpful and charming. We walked, snoozed, read and dragged ourselves away from the orchard to do some sightseeing. Thoroughly recommended.
Thank you. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay near Lautrec village, we too love the serenity and charm of this area of the Tarn region of France. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
The nearby medieval bastide village of Lautrec has restaurants, cafes, bars, bank and shops. It has an Aquaval outdoor swimming pool, great day out for families. Regular summer events and free live entertainment in Lautrec and nearby towns. Just a short drive away are Castres and Realmont and market days, on Saturday and Wednesday.
Gaillac is the home of the local wine. In August you can blend music with wine tasting at Gaillac's festivals.
Albi (30kms) the capital city of the Tarn region is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its also home to the world famous Toulouse-Lautrec Museum, housing a major collection of the artist's work.
Or why not start your holiday with a treat and book yourself an aromatherapy or hot stone massage with the owner, Sheda Savage
