The Barril beach is a guarded beach, awarded for many years with the Blue Flag award and considered one of the best Portuguese beaches

Good location, not so good house
There is a bad smell all over the house coming from the drains in the bathrooms. Several small details in the house is not working or is broken, for example couldn’t one of bedroom doors close. The outdoor areas is not designed very good for creating shade from the sun, and in size not suficcient, as the house holds up to 11 or 12 persons. The location of the house is not as indicated. But the location is very good.

Great location, shabby home
The location of this beach home could not be better. At 5 bedroons and 4 baths, the home met our needs for a big family gathering. The layout was really terric. It was very easy to access the beach via a short walk or the beach train. The Ria Formosa wetlands are beautiful. Markets are close by as are the lovely towns of Santa Luzia and Tavira. Our hosts were quickly responsive, but not always helpful. Their response to our issue about "No Wifi" was "go to the vacation village office. Use theirs." Our issue about "no coffee pot" was "use the Nespresso machine" which stopped working 1 week into our 2 week stay. The air conditioners in 2 bedrooms and the living room did not work.The fireplace was nonfunctional.Their were plenty of plates and mugs but they were chipped and covered in ugly knife marks.The hose on the back patio by the grill leaked continuously, leaving a slimey puddle under the splinter-making picnic table. Several of us tried to turn off the hose with no success. Our hosts left no beach towels for us although we found a bunch in the unlocked supply closet. This house needs a real refresh and we would be happy to give a 5 star review.

Grosszügiges Haus an Top-Lage
Als Familie mit zwei Kindern haben wir nur rund die Hälfte des sehr grossen Hauses an Top-Lage gleich gegenüber der Abfahrt des Zügleins zum Barril-Strand benutzt. Riesiger Garten. Grosse, ältere aber gepflegte Feriensiedlung Pedras del Rei mit schönem Pool, kleinem Supermarkt und gutem Restaurant.

Casa perfecta para pasar unos días con amigos y niños. El jardin es grande y está bien cuidado. Se echa de menos una barbacoa mas grande, y mas zona de sombra. La ubicacion no puede ser mejor.
