The Good: The Ilikai is an amazing hotel that is close to Waikiki beach and a lagoon for novice swimmers. Just about EVERY bus, trolley, and tour pick up here. The grounds were great, the pool clean, restaurant and shops very reasonably priced. The view!
The Not-so-good: Unit is in dire need of a cleaning, even though we were charged a cleaning fee. The kitchen is very old but served our purposes well as we don't cook a lot. The apartment unit was a bit crammed since there was no place to put our suitcases after unpacking. The air conditioner is too strong when you are sitting in the living room, however it really does not cool the bedroom enough for my taste.
Overall, I would stay here again.
Beautiful location in paradise
The unit is exactly as pictured. It was exactly what we needed with easy access to both pool and beach. We loved coffee every morning on the Lanai. The kitchen is adequate for the basics. The Ilikai is beautiful, convenient and very friendly. Plan for the expense of parking if you have a rental. $28/day for the valet, but they're super efficient and helpful. We loved it!
loved the stove/oven. The condo was very good - great location, nice balcony - would definitely go back. Perfect for a couple
A charming hawaiin-style unit with a great view
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay at this unit. We are familiar with several units at the Ilikai and this unit's view has been the best. The décor is charming with the yesteryear Hawaiian-style and the furniture is comfortable. Although the kitchen is retro and needs updating, the appliances all worked effectively and the kitchen items are well-appointed. The closets could be de-cluttered and the walls could use a coat of paint. Overall we enjoyed our stay, and yes, we would book this unit again. S & B Vancouver Island, BC
We had an enjoyable stay.
Apartment is outdated. Disappointed that wardrobe full with stuff so we couldn't even put suitcases away. Enjoyed our stay. Am still waiting for my deposit refund 2 weeks later!
Hum...I do not have a wardrobe closet and there is no personal property located in the condo.
There is a utility closet that contains the vacuum, umbrellas, beach chairs, beach mats, sand toys, boogie boards, ironing board etc.
Very sorry for any inconvenience and I will look into this.

Good space: needs upgrades and cleaning
The view and location of this condo can’t be beat! We were also looking for a place that was reasonably priced and had enough space for our family of four and this fit the bill. The bedroom that was separated by a sliding door and the comfortable fold out couch worked extremely well for us.
However, note that the condo itself needs a major upgrade. The kitchen is obviously original and we didn’t feel comfortable using any appliances beyond the microwave and fridge. While we were there, the garbage disposal broke and the owners were quick to respond with a repairman. The air conditioning unit was also a challenge as it obviously needed to be replaced and didn’t do a proper job cooling the space.
The unit also needed an overall scrubbing and as other reviewers mentioned, our feet were covered in dirt due to lack of proper floor cleaning.
If you are looking for a condo unit close to Waikiki and with access to the lagoon, many restaurant choices, and shopping close by, this is the place to be. It was not a 4 star resort, but was a comfortable condo with everything we needed for our beach vacation.
I remember this... I was very concerned that the garbage disposal broke over Memorial Day weekend! We paid over $500 to have it replaced so that the guests would not be inconvenienced over a holiday weekend. In addition, I sent a $100 gift card for dinner to apologize for any interruption to their stay.
I was not aware that they had issue with the stove or the floors as I did ask if everything else was working and if they were happy.
I will look into this.
