In the park many wild African animals such as giraffes, zebras, kudus, warthogs, wildebeests, bushbucks, divers, small monkeys, genet cats and if you are lucky you even spot a leopard.

The Kruger Park can be visited within walking distance from the vantage point or various resting places along the Crocodile River.

From the terrace you can see the drinking pool. During the warm hours, animals often keep quiet, but especially in the morning and in the evening you can see the most different animals come to drink.

In addition, there is the braai place. Wonderful to braise with friends or family in the evening. The braai place is illuminated. In the winter it will be dark around 17:00.

When you arrive at Marloth Park the caretakers (Don or Trish) will come to pick you up or you will drive straight to the house. They will receive you and guide you in the house. Once a week, all linen and linen is washed. And cleaned the house.

Amazing! We should have stayed longer!
Lituba Place, the name for this house, was WAY beyond our expectations. The house is both rustic and refined, with touches such as a small pool for cooling off. The main attraction, however, is the setting. We loved sitting out on the back porch and watching the wildllife. Every morning over breakfast and every evening, various animals would come wandering by. On our first morning, four zebras came by and visited for about 20 minutes. Other mornings and afternoons before dinner we were visited by warthogs, wildebeests, a whole family of giraffes, large groups of impala, an ostrich, mongooses, grey duikers, greater kudus and others. On days when we did not go into Kruger National Park, we would walk the fenceline between Kruger and Marloth. We always saw something interesting. Since it is springtime here, we were able to observe mating behaviors by huge wild animals such as hippo and rhinos. Huge herds of elephants were visible -- sometimes within feet of the fence. All other sorts of large animals, including lion, were also visible. The variety of birds was equally impressive. A few hints for future guests: 1) Follow Steph's instructions to get there. Don't trust your GPS! Ours put us in the wrong place. 2) Buy a bail of lucern (green hay) from the store up the street and put it out in the area beyond the watering hole behind the house to attract more animals. 3) The local pub is actually quite nice with simple but tasty meals, cold beer and free WiFi. 4) Having never been there before, we were unsure about self-driving inside Kruger. Our advice is: Don't worry! It is easy and the best way to travel in Kruger. Make sure you arrive at the gate early, since they often reach the daily car limit by 7:30 AM. Arrive by 6:30 for best viewing and short lines. Once inside the park, make maximum use of the small dirt roads. The paved roads are more hectic and tend to have less wildlife. Arriving via the Crocodile Bridge entrance, we recommend heading for the S28 for a good viewing expience. We were in a compact rental and never had a problem on the dirt roads, although a 4WD or some other car with high clearance would have made it easier to see over the tall grasses. 5) And most of all, stay more than just one week! We wish we had stayed at least two or more.

Great venue in interesting location
Wonderful house in a rustic location where animals came by from time to time. House was furnished with all necessary appliances and utensils. Very clean and owner very accommodating. Would be a five star if it had Wifi on site as travelers were also business people who had reports to send back to home office. Recommend highly.

geweldig
