Our house, community, and central location make the Bethel Lake House the perfect five-star rated destination to stay in the Town of Bethel or in Sullivan County. Our spacious, open and fully renovated lake front home is available for rent...as a weekend escape, a three-day weekend in front of the fire, for the summer season or for a long, slow week to explore (also available as an artist's retreat for longer periods)---you choose.

Nearby --covered bridges (Livingston Manor)--three-arch stone bridge (Jeffersonville), a Hydro-powered radio station (WJFF) and the trout fishing center of the East (Roscoe)...also, raft or paddle down the Delaware from Narrowsburgh NY, Skinner's Falls or Pond Eddy-twenty minutes away....

Our community....New dog parks open year round. Smallwood Forest Reserve with pretty waterfall and nature walk with exercise equipment. Ball fields, tennis courts and swimming. Lots of nature in and around the lake.

Super clean+, kid and pet friendly and full of family games and activities. House offers wired or wireless hi-speed internet. Two TV's with cable service. (If you want bring your playstation/gamebox and controllers and connect )

Wrap-around deck overlooking a private non-motorboat lake with beach. Swimming allowed at beach with prior arrangements. House has a HUGE finished basement with a pool-table, a fun golf putting green, dart board, foosball table, piano , separate seating area, and bunk-beds makes this great for two families to get away together (house sleeps up to 9. ....walk around the lake, ice fish in winter, bike ride--roast marshmallows, kayak during the rest of the year....beginner skiing just twelve minutes away, see a concert at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts (ten minutes to Yasgur's Farm), go antique hunting or bald eagle watching nearby... tour a small organic farm nearby, even bet on the trotters and gamble at the raceway (7 miles down the road)....

- you are in luck with a beginner/family ski mountain 15 minutes away https://holidaymtn.com/?id=83 There are some discount coupons at the house. We just picked last weekend and they shoudl be on the hutch.

- Callicoon Brewery http://callicoonbrewing.com/ (845) 887-5500 call they are moving across the street soon, They expect to have live music that weekend. 20 minutes
- Dancing Cat Saloon http://dancingcatsaloon.com/ great fun place, parts of it are a closed for the season, They have great Sunday live jazz brunches. They have a distillery and tasting room which is fun. and i just saw this.... 10 minutes

2nd Annual Eagle Celebration at the Cat! Come meet the folks from Delaware Highlands Conservancyand learn about the Eagles in the Sullivan Catskills. It’s a Community Party at the #Cat with live music and Falconer with live birds. Gather #Friends and #Family and meet us at the #Distillery for this fun and educational winter event! Save the Date!

Local walks
Lastly, the walk around the lake is just over two miles and 90% flat. 1/2 way around by the beach is a Mountain Lakes Road that leads (1/2 mile?) to a small, but worthy. waterfall, forest preserve and a new Dog Park! We just saw it last weekend.
