About this property

Prestigious nineteenth-century villa between Etna and the sea

Prestigious nineteenth-century villa between Etna and the sea (1 minute from the Acireale motorway exit, 10 minutes from the sea and 35 minutes from the Etna cable car).
The property, perfectly furnished, has 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, lounge, veranda, washing machine, kitchen complete with oven, fridge and dishes, kitchen with barbecue outside.
You can comfortably park on the street (right in front of the entrance door).
Only a part of the ground floor of the villa (it is a settling real estate unit) is intended for lease. Therefore, during some periods of the year, the entrance and part of the external areas will be shared with the owners who live on the upper floor.
Animals (dogs and cats) are NOT accepted.
Acireale, famous for its Baroque, Carnival and other tourist attractions linked to a centenary tradition (from the Opera dei Pupi to the almond paste) is an excellent starting point for excursions to Etna. But there is also the sea. We are in the most beautiful stretch of coast in Sicily (between the Faraglioni of Acitrezza and the Isola Bella of Taormina).
Along the ancient via delle Chiazzette which, since the Phoenician era, connects Acireale to the mouth of the Aci river, you reach the picturesque seaside village of Santa Maria La Scala with a crystal clear sea and splendid backdrops.
In 25 minutes you can reach Catania, Etna and Taormina.
During the day, you can visit Syracuse, Noto, the Pantalica necropolis, the valley of the temples of Agrigento, the mosaics of the Roman villa in Piazza Armerina, the Alcantara gorges, Messina, the Marinello oasis and, for the little ones , the Etnaland amusement park and water park.

Very relaxing
We had a fabulous 10 days in this spacious, comfortable and very clean villa. It had just about everything you could possibly want. Matteo and Anna were perfect hosts, helpful but not intrusive. Anna even baked me a surprise birthday cake which was a delicious Sicilian speciality. The location was excellent, 30 mins from Catania, 5 mins from Acireale and in a village with a selection of small shops selling bread, fruit and vegetables and everyday essentials. We loved it.

Soggiorno incantevole

Merci encore.
