Creature Comforts for Anyone Seeking Deep Relaxation...

Bedrooms 1
Property type studio
Minimum Stay 3 - 7 nights

About the property

House, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 1-2)

Gentle waves, gentrified pleasures and the tastiest fish tacos on the Pacific Coast.

Experience it all while staying at Casita Toscana, an honest 3 minute walk to the beach and surf, 4 minutes to the plaza.

Located on quiet Calle Coral, this new home with air conditioning offers one of the best locations in town just a short five minute walk to restaurants and shopping in the village and less than five minutes to the north surf break.

Casa Toscana is a charming, Italian/Mexican-style casita with beamed ceilings, arched doorways, and large windows.

Enjoy a good book, dine or just relax in the private courtyard among native flowers and a quiet fountain.

This very private casita is a perfect getaway for a week or a lifetime.

The video that is available on this site shows both Casa Toscana's one and two bedroom casitas. The one bedroom casita is on the second half of the video, 1:17 to 2:13.

Why Bill Glaysher chose Sayulita

We two blocks to the beach and about 4 block to the village. the walk is flat to both except for one block which is up hill to our house. That said it is very quiet here. No restaurants within a block, and those aren't noisy. Fiestas in the plaza aren't an issue, but if there is village celebration going on at the ball park you will hear it no matter where you stay.

One thing to consider is that to have both a quiet home and one that's very close to the plaza, and with flat streets is pretty much impossible. The closer to the plaza the noisier it gets, and it can get pretty noisy.

We're told we have Casa Toscana is near perfect compromise of those three items, one short hill, short walk to beach and plaza, and pretty darn quiet.

Garden Oasis

  • 4 of 5

It has not rained in Sayulita for a long time however Kathy and Bill have created a Paradise and we were guests in a garden oasis known as Casita Toscana. The double doors of the main room opened onto the garden more than doubling the space and leading to a day bed tucked under a roof. The space was equipped with lights, a fan and a pull down shade; the perfect place to read, sleep or whatever...

We were really impressed with how well the kitchen was equipped; even a coffee grinder and a french press. Lots of ice cube trays and a blender to crush the ice! Bill shared with us where to shop, where to drop our laundry and where to eat when we didn't want to cook.

My only complaint was I had to leave my oasis to get to the pool on the upper level and the water was cold. However we were quite content to stay in our Casita and follow the movements of the iguana across the street.

Vacation Heaven

  • 5 of 5

Just getting into the routine of life again is a chore after returning from a fantastic week in Sayulita. More often than I want to admit I have been caught day dreaming about our trip to Sayulita, remembering how wonderful our stay and accommodations were in Casa Agava (part of Villa Muy Bien). The outdoor living style was exactly what we needed to escape from the winter weather back at home. The crashing sound of the waves, the cool breeze, and the warm air made this stay so enjoyable. The gorgeous flowers that decorated the decks and gardens were well groomed. The dip in the pool was absolutely refreshing. We were so close to everything the bus stop, the market, restaurants and the beach. A golf cart is definitely not required. This property is well maintained and equipped for its guests; it includes a safe for your valuables and a separate key pad entrance into the unit. Kitchen is stocked with everything you may need - most important item the citrus squeezer to make those perfect margaritas. Bill and Kathy were fabulous hosts and went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. Thank you for sharing a little peace of paradise with us, hope to see you next year.

Perfect relaxing vacation

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from a wonderful week over New Years here and nothing but positive things to say. From the easy communication back and forth with Bill prior to our arrival, the greeting the day we arrived, the secure lock systems, and the as advertised garden area, and clean, cute interior of the property we are extremely pleased we picked this location to stay at. Located ideally close to both the town and beach but just far away enough to get a bit of peace and quiet during a very busy week, we could easily walk everywhere and really take advantage of everything Sayulita has to offer.

Thank you for a wonderful week and highly recommend this property to any couple looking for a great vacation.

Lovely unit but poor security

  • 1 of 5

We just returned from staying 8 nights at Casa Toscano, it is a beautiful property in an amazing location and we enjoyed all the lovely restaurants and beach within walking distance. However on our 6th night someone broke into the unit opened the safe with a key and stole almost all our money. The security camera was also turned away from the door. Please be wary if renting here to find a way to safely secure you money and valuables.

Owner's Response: As owners of Casa Toscana we do our best to ensure the security of our guest and their valuables. Casa Toscana's property gates have digital locks (keys have proven unreliable) as well as the entry doors. All doors and windows have iron locks or state of the art digital locks, and each bedroom has a digital safe. In addition the exterior is under observation from a security camera. We have provided the tools (gate, door, window locks and personal safes) to each guest to assume the security for their personal items. Unfortunately none of these security precautions prevent a loss of property if doors and windows are not closed and locked when guest leave the premises which was reported to have been the case in this unfortunate break-in.

So lovely and romantic a little nest.

  • 5 of 5

The Casita Toscana is such a wonderfully designed space for a couple to spend a week together free from the cares of daily life. Close to town and the beaches, plenty of little beaches, food stores, restaurants, the only english bookstore in town. Yet within the walls of your little garden hide away you have you own private Eden.

Most special every in the space in done right, lovely design, useful kitchen, and best of all drinkable water from all the taps. What a wonderful find!

perfect week

  • 5 of 5

Excellent location: close to shops and restaurants, close to beach. This casita had everything 2 people would need for a relaxing weeklong vacation. Quiet, safe block. Comfortable bed. It was our first time in Sayulita and we had one of the best vacations ever.
