There is a man-made, sandy beach for the kids to play at, a gradually slopping boat launch, suitable for any water craft to be unloaded at and a 24 ft dock to park your play toys at. Lovely spot, kind hosts
The cottage was a thoughtfully appointed, and lovingly cared-for space, stocked with everything you need, and with a gorgeous deck overlooking the lake. There was plenty to do, as the cottage was close to a walking loop, cycling routes through gorgeous countryside, and some of the best beaches in the province. And when lounging about, there was often an opportunity for a chat with the friendly neighbours. We had an adventure on the first day -- the fridge gave out in sweltering weather -- and Marty and Alex stored our food and went in search of a replacement fridge, which is no small feat in a pandemic. They got us sorted quickly and gifted us a bottle of wine for the inconvenience. We left well rested with good memories and kind thoughts for our gracious hosts. Thank you for a lovely stay, Marty and Alex!

Cute getaway
The very cute cottage was comfortable and just right for our friends' getaway. We spent most of our time on the deck where the patio furniture was very comfortable and the view was great. The host Marta was very good. A great communicator and very friendly and helpful.

Perfect Getaway
This is very nice property with a view to die for! All the amenities needed for a comfortable stay and a well outfitted kitchen. We had a week of beautiful weather and practically lived on the spacious outdoor deck which looks exactly as advertised. The ferry access to Picton is very close and well run for some nice day outings! Very restful stay in a charming environment. Marta and Alex are both very hospitable and genuinely nice people. l would definitely rent again.

Amazing place with amazing people
It was a week full of fun at this cottage with an amazing view and a huge deck to sit and relax on. We loved the beautifully decorated interior, along with canoeing on the lake. Alex and Marty are wonderful people, and they were able to help us with everything we needed. Loved to chat with them from travelling to cooking experiences.

About the host

Host profile image
We are a couple of empty nesters who are eagerly transitioning into "early retirees" and avid travelers. As such, we are finding that we don't really need a full-time residence all year long and are able to share our comfortable, eclectic little cottage. We love to camp and travel in the summer in our 1974 VW Westy, with our two affectionate Dalmatians, so our cottage is available for others to enjoy.
We are veteran hosts, as we previously owned a 5 bedroom house with 2 one bedroom apartments at our home in Prince Edward County. We will typically greet guests when you arrive for your week long stay, make sure you are comfortable and equipped with all that you need and then we will quietly retreat to or tipi at the back of the property to pack and leave for our own adventures.

Why they chose this property

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!!! The true beauty of our cottage is its diversity! It's man-made beach, boat launch, dock and included play toys make it unnecessary to leave the property. However, its proximity to "The County" , Napanee and Kingston mean that day trips, for whatever you fancy, are minutes away. You can boat to Picton in 15 minutes, or take the quaint Glenora ferry only a 12 minute drive away.

What makes this property unique

Our humble cottage is the full-time residence of a couple of professionals, striving to get out of the rat race. The cottage is our expression of the tiny house movement. It has been furnished with the favourite items from our two larger homes and we have made comfort, practicality, beauty and our environmental foot print, priorities.
