The Waltons Mountain cottage with hot tub is a hillside hideaway located in the foothills of the mighty Pikes Peak mountain. Sitting on almost 100 acres of private land, the cottage provides seclusion and privacy with easy access to the multitude of activities that Manitou Springs and Colorado Springs offer. Nearby is the Adventure Out West Ziplines: where all Waltons Mountain guests receive a discount.

If you are looking for a quiet place to relax, this fully furnished 2 bedroom, 1 bath cottage is the place! The full kitchen, outdoor hot tub, incredible mountain views, Wi-Fi, and smart TV are more than enough to make your stay memorable and enjoyable.

Waltons Mountain Cottage provides a unique and exciting vacation experience for small families, romantic get aways, or just a relaxing weekend trip. The cottage will not disappoint. We hope to hear from you soon so we can get your dream vacation started.

The Cottage is the front door neighbor to our Waltons Mountain Lodge. Consider booking both properties for your family vacation if you have a larger group.

Complete kitchen with stove, refrigerator, oven, microwave, dishes, pans and silverware, that is open to the dining and living area.

The cottage is about a 20 minute walk to the famous downtown Manitou Springs area where shopping and dining are a must. The walk back is about a 20 minute hike back up the mountain, so plan accordingly. If you will be shopping and aren’t up for a good hike both ways, you may want to drive to town.

Plenty of acreage to explore from the thousands of hiking trails to the old Midland railroad train tunnels. Manitou Springs is minutes away for world-famous sights such as the cog railway, the Manitou Incline, Cave of The Winds, and shopping, restaurants, and arcade that make downtown Manitou Springs famous.

A great escape from the bustle of cities, clean, every thing you would need to have a relaxing time. hot tub was very soothing. Great views would recommend that you stay at the little cottage at the almost top of the mountain

The Walton family has lived on this 100 acre property for three generations and have enjoyed the beautiful views and endless outdoor activities that life on the mountain provides. We are passionate about sharing the beauty of our property with others who wish to experience the beautiful Manitou foothills and look to provide quaint comfortable accommodations for any and all looking to explore the Manitou Springs and Colorado Springs area. Our family stays in the Lodge and Cottage at least once, sometimes twice a year. We spend time sharing our mountain home with our growing families and making updates, both big and small to the property. We try to keep the property as updated as we can to provide a great experience for all our guests. Thank you for your feedback and continued support of our small family business.

Why they chose this property

Our property provides a unique experience to those looking to visit the area due to its location on nearly 100 acres of private property. This gives our guests plenty of privacy and security while also being located just minutes away from downtown Manitou Springs. Both our Lodge and Cottage provide a feeling of being secluded in the mountains of Manitou Springs allowing for our guests to spend their days down in the city, and when that becomes too much, they have the option to retreat back up the hill to the privacy and quiet of the foothills. In addition to the Lodge and Cottage, there are three other homes on the mountain. Please drive slowly and carefully through the narrow streets in the neighborhood up the mountain road.

What makes this property unique

We love our property because it sits on nearly 100 acres of private property. You may see zip liners behind the Lodge, other cars belonging to the three other houses on the mountain and some trucks that use the city water road that is on our land. You will see and enjoy wildlife on the mountain. Deer, foxes and bears! PLEASE BE BEAR AWARE and know what to do if you come across a bear while hiking on our property. Please lock up the dumpster as this helps us keep the bears away!
