Guest Book Comments: Richard, I just wanted to tell you that we had a wonderful time at your cabin. I was a little skeptical about renting a place we had never seen from someone we had never met, particularly with having to pay the full cost so far in advance. I am glad that I took the chance because the cabin and the location were all that I hoped for. We had a great time in the game room and really enjoyed the outdoor hot but. Actually, the cabin and surroundings were perfect and exactly as advertised. I hope to rent from you again next year. :)

We enjoyed our time in the mountains and at the cabin. It is very nice indeed!

Guest Book Comments: Mr. Singer,

I had to email to tell you how much my husband and I enjoyed our stay at your wonderful home!!! We were very impressed with the accommodations. The cabin was awesome and the surroundings were breathtaking! The time provided us with some much needed rest and relaxation. We are considering a return visit March 21st – 23rd, 2008. I see that the cabin is available during this time and I’d like to know what the cost would be. Thanks again so very much!

Just wanted to let you know we thought the cabin was great!! We really enjoyed the game room. Hope we can use it again sometime.
Thanks again!

Hi Richard,

We returned yesterday from a most wonderful stay in the NC weather, glorious fall colors, not much traffic it! Drove back via the Smokies....I've never seen such RED many sugar maples at their a treat! The drought scared us into thinking there wouldn't be any color ANY where, so we were thrilled!

Guest Book Comments: Richard, we had a great time at the cabin, very nice weather and the cabin was nice as promised. Had no problems at all, other than it took some time to figure out the fireplace….We really enjoyed the fact that it was “off the beaten path” and up a solitary winding mountain road after a scenic drive.

Just wanted to tell you want a wonderful time we had at your cabin this past weekend. It truly lived up to my expectations and beyond!!

Escape from Florida heat
If your looking for rustic isolation in the woods, this is the place. The exterior could use some tlc. The interior was clean and amenable. The host was super responsive.

3 story cabin
Loved the location but I wish the property was taken a little better care of ie, giant webs all over the porch and wolf spiders the side of quarters if not bigger. The table outside and the chairs were all dirty as was the fridge but other than needing a good dusting we enjoyed our stay. The house is secluded in the woods a good ways up a mountain if you have a lowered vehicle like we do it’s difficult to get to, we scrapped everytime we went into and left the driveway.

Could be better
I usually never write a negative review for any place that we have stayed at, but I think this property is not advertised appropriately. First of all the grill was not operational. There were two grills and they were both burnt out and there was no way to use them so we could not use a grill during our stay. Several of the hot tub jets are broken. We did use the hot tub once and it was nice, but would've been nice if it was completely operational. The bed in the main floor bedroom is highly uncomfortable you sink right in it like the mattress has been there for years. There is no Keurig and the coffee maker that is on site does not work well. The hockey table in the basement did not work either. I think the property needs some TLC. The location is very beautiful, but you cannot see the mountains because of the tree cover. I will say the property was very clean, when I walked in you could smell how clean it was. There are a lot of reviews about the road, but I thought it was easy getting up and down and it looks like it is graded frequently. The driveway to the property does have a few potholes and those probably need to be fixed. Overall we enjoyed our time in Hendersonville, but it would've been nice to have a little bit more comfort at the cabin.

Some items that need attention
Enjoyed our stay however here are a few items that need attention: - big hole on concrete driveway. - tree limb on roof. - grill leg broken. - smoke detector in upstairs bedroom hanging out of ceiling. - bins in door of frig. Broken. - game pieces are missing from chess and checkers. - a kitchen table chair is very unstable. - shelf in pantry is Broken. - need more kitchen towels and dish wash clothes. - need more coffee mugs, only have four. - need a pizza pan for cooking pizza. - the bamboo blinds are see through. Not any privacy.

Not a picture perfect.
I was very disappointed. The cabin does not look like anything on this picture. Trees are all around it very close to it. This cabin need a update on lots of things. Very first would be a new cleaning person. A lots of spider webs inside, spiders, ceilings and walls are full of bloody spots from killing mosquitos and spiders. Furniture need update also. Bed in downstairs bedroom was terrible. Woke up so beat up every morning. The chairs are very uncomfortable to sit on, old smelly futon. The bathroom had a rug that is probably 20 years old, the A/C cover vent is very rusty. For me the bed sheets did it. They were all stained with something white??? I can go on and on. Just old cabin that needs update, Pictures are very old so it is deceiving. The owner was very nice. Will not book again. Just the truth.
