Great cabin for family
My family (two adults and one teen and one pre-teen) spent 3 nights in the cabin. We loved the fire pit and spent time each night roasting s’mores and hanging out by the fire. Location is not far from Cloudland Canyon state park and Chattanooga. The town of Trenton is within 15 minutes- convenient to grocery store, a gym, restaurants and a coffee shop. We would love to stay again in the future.

Bugs
The cabin is nice. But it had bugs. Wasps inside also. The outside trash was running over when we got there.

Not cleaned??
We used this VRBO as a place for our friends to stay at the night before our wedding. The listing states it’s 15 from Cloudland canyon, but it’s actually closer to 25 minutes away which changed our wedding timeline last minute. The faucet in the kitchen sprays everywhere when turned on, the master bath sink/shower have trouble draining, and the trash cans were overflowing outside. When arrived, the code to the door didn’t open the door but we were able to get in because the door was already unlocked?? There were towels in the dryer that were not put away and dirty dishes left in the dishwasher. The coffee maker was molded on the inside and the creamer was lumpy. The TV was not functional and has trouble playing sound. We killed 4 cockroaches during a 2 night stay. We were extremely disappointed with our stay, especially it being our wedding destination. The host had minimal communication with us, but what communication we did have several months ago was okay.

Not quite what we expected but great location
We hit a snag accessing the property but the property manager resolved that quickly. The house itself was spacious and well equipped. Unfortunately there was no paddle boat. The kayak had no paddle but they brought one to us. The inside of the house was clean but the couch smelled like a wet dog. However the location was great with lots of access to hiking and the park. And we were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was at the nearby restaurants.

Labor Day weekend - disappointed.
Our family of 5, grandparents, kids and grandchild, rented the cabin for a 3 day stay over the Labor Day weekend to enjoy Chattanooga. The TN Aquarium, Childrens museum and restaurants were fantastic!! However, we were very disappointed, on our arrival to the cabin, how unkept it was!! The outside porch areas had not been cleaned for awhile. Cobwebs, dirt , grime on the tables and cushions. Trash bin on side of house overflowing and trash scattered on the ground. Inside the cabin, dirty towels were in the washer and dirty ( smelly) dishes in the dishwasher. The TV downstairs did not work, numerous items broken in Kitchen. The refrigerator leaked water which we cleaned up daily. No paddle boat, no option to grill - no gas , no grate in fire pit. We purchased broom / windex / paper towel and spent time cleaning.. The cabin is cute, beautiful scenery, caught some fish everyday!! The bedding was clean and bathrooms relatively clean. The owner had the trash taken away the next morning, but much more attention needs to be given to this cabin!!

Why they chose this property

Our family absolutely loves this area! We are an outdoor family so we really enjoy getting to spend time at the cabin between the craziness of life. Our weekends at the cabin include fishing at the lake directly behind the cabin and across from the cabin. The backyard backs straight up to the lake. We keep our paddleboat, my daughters kayak, along with fishing rods and bait. If we aren't out at the lake playing we are relaxing in the hammock, using the fire pit/grill to grill out, or exploring the area. We have really enjoyed exploring and finding some amazing waterfalls, neighbors up the road with horses, tons of deer, and wild life roam around. I would definitely check out Cloudland Canyon's website which is an absolutely beautiful state park on the edge of Lookout Mountain with tons of trails, waterfalls, canyons, mineral formations. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway and some breathtaking scenery this is it!!
